That seems quite a strong argument to the "not coming" to virgin media...oh dear.

Be hilarious though if it still came into the XL package. If it does i'm joining the digitalspy forum to mock him furiously.

Aye you're right den but it would just mean that media boys insider, the hinting virgin media advisors and the famous bomber were all incorrect.

Unfortunately I not seen any evidence of any announcement coming from Virgin with regards to either SA or BT, in fact any announcement regarding anything. I fear many are waiting for something purely based on what one poster said and built upon that.

This isnt fact is only hearsay peeps. only confirmation we got is we lose ESPN in two days time and there is no price reduction

If the doomsday scenario was to happen then Virgin would have been very misguided in assuming that people are going to accept less content for the same price especially when their are more price rises coming and really are they that stupid is the question you have to ask yourself.

I agree but if their hands are tied with content what else can they do, they already indicated no cost reduction for XL?

Definitely a call to retentions if we don't get anything extra. I'm on XL package and i don't think there is much difference in cost between XL and VIP so i may try and get up to that and get the movie channels for free.

Is that possible?

Now the hypocrities could be about to stop other services getting access to sport. Bitterly ironic.

I hope sky now team up with virgin media and accept that there are simply some people who they can never get to come to satelite television and will always stay on cable. Team up with virgin media, offer them all your channels and together lets destroy BT.

Thats my dream. A childish petulant dream perhaps but a dream nevertheless...

Vince, I don't think they BT are stopping VM from receiving BT Sports. If VM do not get it, it will be through not agreeing a deal, not through BT withholding the channels.
IF these current rumours are not true, VM will have to take the channels on the same terms as Sky. However, I think the rumours are gonna be proved right at some point soon. No insider info btw.

No. You get the £7 disloyalty discount and that's it.

If you kept complaining about the price after that, they'd either call your bluff and let you go to Sky or just reduce your package.

Who knows! Be worth a call to retentions on thursday if nothing shows up anyway. They must be expecting a ton of calls on thursday anyway if they havent got a deal for BT sports yet. Maybe retentions have got some sort of line to take if people call up complaining.

I feel very bleak and down now... this thread is like a rollercoaster of emotions... haha

What virgin need is something that bt and sky don't have, that's why they need a deal with one of the streaming services imo- lovefilm, netflix, spotify etc

worse product!!!!

When I had Sky I found it a poor service, particually the TV service when the weather was bad. I doubt I will join them again just for one extra HD channel I would like. I would also miss TIVO far too much. However with regards to your BB you should be able to keep your VM BB and ditch the TV side of things. You could then try Sky TV on it's own - that may be cheaper, I doubt it, but it is a possibility. Personally though, I doubt I will ever go back over to Sky. It would have to be a considerable saving (more than half price) a month for me to risk losing my TV service in bad weather.
