Yeah, I do have to admit that Rooney was the first person that I'd ever seen do that on the pitch, so he should have been hung, drawn and quatered. :erm:

Just because you don't like him, doesn't mean that he should not get a worse punishment than any other player who does the same and other players have done it before.

Before you say anything, I do believe that he should have got punished for it and got what the rules state as the correct punishment.

but maybe the rules are too lenient , how about a 10 game ban or something like that , it would make them think more than twice about doing something like that again :disturbd: :disturbd: :disturbd: :disturbd: , nip it in the bud sort of thing :tu:

Yes that's fine it might make them think twice before doing it, but it happens throughout football, it's not just Rooney (and I don't mean that that makes it okay either, it's still wrong). That's what annoyed me :tu:

couldnt agree more , i am not pointing the finger at rooney , just making the point that if the punishment was more severe then the likelihood of it happening would lessen over time :)

3 match ban is what everyone gets for similar offences now!! He's not the first and won't be the last :)

Glad to see the bolton player is getting done as well, his reaction was a disgusting, acting like he had been shot :erm: Hopefully the FA will fine him 6 weeks wages and 1 match ban :)

No no, he should get at least the same as Rooney seeing as he's admitted it's his instinct to react like that. As a result he should be made an example of.

for all Man Yoo players, 8 month bans should be given for ANY offence on/off the pitch.......
