True, but I don't think there are any channels that you can watch on VM that you can't watch on Sky (I believe film4 HD may be one, but that is being added to Sky soon)

The same isn't true the other way round. And that is the problem.

Everyone has a choice to get sky.

that is like saying it is wrong for Virgin to hold back broadband to sky customers..they don't..you want virgin broadband..you buy from virgin

Why?

Film 4 isn't Virgin's to offer. So that isn't a true comparison.

That is like people who get free view, complaining they aren't getting all the channels

Not everyone wants Sky, Colin. We're not asking for these channels free, we're prepared to pay for them!

TV channels should be available for all platforms at an appropriate price. If those channel providers are not prepared to share, then they shouldn't be allowed to buy programmes and films exclusively. That should be the law.

I disagree. Sky is a tv content provider.

Annoying no doubt, but don't see why they should provide to other platforms, unless they are compensated.

What are you talking about? They get compensated when we pay them, don't they? Do they want bribes as well?:shocked::shocked:

Why? How does this benefit the consumer? In your world, I suppose if we wanted access to all channels, we would be paying Sky, VM and BT! Doesn't make sense, does it?

Well yes, as long as it's not extortionate. There is a generally accepted mark up rate.

wait...you think the world is run to benefit the consumer?

What industry does that?

And yes, it is quite possible you might have to pay all providers.

As you do when you want to watch exclusives (eg netflix etc)

I have to pay to get ESPN...you get it for free

Do you hear me complaining?

No..if I want it free, I switch to virgin..I pay for it

That is the rules. Like them..or lump them
