Media Boy EXCLUSIVE: Virgin Media to add some new Channels - should launch on Thursday.

I can now reveal that the following channels should launch on Thursday on Virgin Media:

Channels to launch:
-ITV2 HD to launch on Virgin Channel 176 on the XL Package.
-ITV3 HD to launch on Virgin Channel 177 on the XL Package.
-ITV4 HD to launch on Virgin Channel 178 on the XL Package.

-No word yet on when E! HD, Universal HD and Animal Planet HD will launch on Virgin Media.

NOTE: I do not work for Virgin Media so all the information on this post is still subject to change.

Great job by Virgin. If and when all the above channels launch there isn't too many top quality HD channels left for them too add. Minus channels that SKY are holding back, what is really left to get? In fact it's not unthinkable that SKY News HD and SKY Sports News HD might arrive soon too. Exciting times for fans of HD!

Well they may have took their time to deliver, but it is better than nothing.
I think Virgin are upping the ante, especially since YouView is now on the scene with BT and TalkTalk offering TV services.

There's still a lot more potential that can be unlocked with the TiVo service. Film streaming services, expansion of music on demand etc.

Exciting times :D

Style launches on Virgin Media.

Virgin Media has just launch Style on Virgin Channel 285.

Why? I have seen the shows available on that channel and the overall channel looks incredibly boring.
I wanna see good channels such as Sky Atlantic, Food Network and Scuzz on cable. Also, I quite fancy that holidays channel called Holiday + Cruise on Sky EPG 284.:o:

Well done Media Boy, thats great news.

Would love itvHD for the FA Cup games, but at least we have them in sd.

Now for Sky Atlantic (sd would be fine) and thats us got the lot. :Yikes:

Finally European football and the BTCC on ITV 4 in HD Its looking more likely I will be returning to VM now in the summer there having a HD party at the moment
