I beleive everyone is entitled to their view whether good or bad as we live in a democracy but before this week we were all left in the dark by Virgins poor communication and vague past press releases about tivo.

Re: TiVo

as ive stated before i feel we are still in the dark to a large extent as we have no idea on why certain groups of existing customers are getting contacted and why some have not had a thing ....

the statement last week was ok in as far it did say VM have something up their sleeve but since then we have had a customer who wasnt actually installed been offered tivo and other long term customers not getting anything. Add to that someone did post they had the £149 offer after the statement and was told on the phone there would be another 'lotto' draw and he could get a refund if his name was in that

only VM know what system they are using and IMHO it isnt working with customers being called several times even after signing on the dotted line in the first call while other long term customers read of peeps getting offered tivo before they even have the basics installed

for a company in the internet business they should have seen that there would be confusion at best among its customers and worse ... poor show from VM IMHO

Agree,I aint perticular bothered about tivo to me its just paying £149 for a bigger hard drive and as for the £3.00 per month charge(what the hell is that for) probably for just using the apps i can do that on my pc on the broadband i already pay for.The fact that some people are getting it for free(well done) that just makes me more anti-tivo,(sky offer free hd box to all there customers on sky + not just a few)If i do decide to pay out that sort of money i will give it to Sky for there 1tb box.Far more hd channels(and always will have ) and £49 cheaper(Sky offered me for £100 self install),Big fan of vm but yet again communication shocking and the free/pay tivo is a farce. But thats my opinion and know doubt i will be accused of moaning by some on here ,But i wont lose any sleep over that ;)

Meh..

Tivo has lost its appeal because of the staggered release. Knowing that by the time I may get it it will be almost about 6 months since first release to staff etc.

Its been promised for too long and talked about too much its just lost its hype for me and the extra £3 plus the price hike in April means I will never get Tivo.

I came over to VM from sky in December on a 6 month half price deal that is not actually half price. VIP50 Is around £100 so half price would be around £50 but I'm paying £75.

Now they want £180+£3 extra a month plus a £8 a month price increase...Why did I EVER LEAVE SKY.....

I agree with you, as soon as my contract ends i will be going to sky. The fact that i've been with cable from when it was first installed in my road, have always been on the top tier services, never missed a payment and never been to retentions for a better deal. I'm paying virgin the best part of £200 a month for vip50 with 3 boxes and 2 mobiles. as far as i'm concerned i'm one of their best customers but to ask me for a further £149 + £3 a month makes me feel second class, i look in the mirror sometimes to see if i've got mug written on my forehead. :(

There no doubt that Virgins communication over Tivo and other things has been nothing short of amateurishness in the last 3 to 9 months.

If you want, would you be able to give us a few sneaky peeks on video of performance? (VOD, Apps etc.)

:)

What communication? The only info i get is reading forums like this, the average customer is completely in the dark.

Re: TiVo

Must admit I'm confused with there whole approach to TIVO , seems like a lot of us existing customers will only see it in April when we can ring and order it.
