If she lives alone then she can still have a support bubble.

Yes that's what i have learnt recently, so because i currently live alone this year i was able to form a support bubble and go to Wales and stay with my parents over the Christmas period(not just Christmas Day), and my sisters family could only visit on Christmas Day.

Just got back to Cambridge now time to relax for the next week then it's back to work.

Aren't you supposed to form a bubble with one other person...

On Christmas Day, you were allowed see a maximum of two other households (your ‘Christmas bubble’), if you were tier 3 or below.

My parents formed a support bubble with me(the one other person), so the Christmas lockdown or tiers don't affect this, I can legally visit them at any time as they're part of the support bubble.

I was only able to see my sister's family on Christmas Day at my parents house.

It's all very complicated but my parents contacted a Welsh MP and she replied to them personally saying support bubble are ok even in tier 3,4 etc.

On the bbc website it said in tier 4 your support bubble could only be 1 other lone adult household, my partner got very funny about it over Christmas as she has her sister living with her, didn't matter much to me as I try not to be in the same room as her anyway as she has blood cancer. Think I'd better alert the authorities to your activities though :)

TheDaddy i thought we spoke about this in PM the other day as you couldn't visit the next village to me so i'm surprised you think i've done something wrong when i am just following the legal rules as laid out by the government,

1 of the criteria in the rules of a support bubble is if someone is single, this will allow people who live alone to form a support bubble with another household(just the same as your BBC quote), when they do this it is classed as 1 household so with the Christmas Day bubble rules this allows an already formed support bubble household to meet with 1 other household, after Christmas Day you can't it's back to normal rules.

Tier 4 couldn't meet up with another household on Christmas Day unless it was part of their support Bubble.

I hope that makes sense. :)

I hope 2021 will be better by next Christmas and things can return as close to normal as possible.

Just taken my wife to see her mum at the care home - they’ve built a "visiting pod" with separate entrances and a dividing clear panel, which mean you can see and hear each other in a safe manner - really impressed by it.

That's great, for all parties.

When my mum was in a nursing home the home had a zero visitor policy at the time, I was able to stand at the patio door to her room and spend 10 minutes when I dropped essential stuff off for her.

I was allowed to go with my dad 3 time when they relaxed the rules but this was outside (luckily it was summer), they then changed the rules to only one visitor from one household every 3 weeks.

Happy anniversary, have a delayed party in the summer.

We are looking at a wake for my mum in August around the time of her birthday

Found out at the weekend that my elderly mother is getting her first jab tomorrow.

My mother is very prim-and-proper, a lifetime staunch Catholic and never ever uses profanity etc. But she’s getting tired of covidiots.

So when I asked what she’ll do if the vaccination centre has anti-vaxxers or anti-maskers outside it, she simply replied “I’ll just tell the clueless idiots to f*** off”

Classic!

Finally after 12 months of trying to get a home from a local housing association we've been provisionally offered a new build 3
Bedroom house just down the road in Dalmarnock. Should be ready by mid March.

Woohoo.

Our landlord gave us notice that he wanted to sell last March, just as covid hit and with my health it was becoming harder to afford the high rent with, with wife working less and me claiming benefits.

Over the moon.

They just have to get the reference from our current landlord. So that not going to be a problem.

It's a 2 bed flat we are in now but with my starting home dialysis soon we need a 3rd bedroom for all the equent and supplies. Will be great having a garden as well due to spending so much time at home.

I've had a similar, I've taken some chicken Wings from the Freezer and put it in the fridge.

The following morning It was still solid, and as I needed it for tea I put the bag in tepid water to defrost, luckily it was OK by tea time.

No, it’s in good nick, and the survey (which involved winching it out of the water) was very positive.

Also finally got my response from PIP after submitting a change in circumstances back in September. Due to my kidney failure progressing to stage 5 and all the mess and stuff.

Happy to say I got the highest level for both parts and its backdated to when I reapplied. The money will come in handy as we are moving soon and need to carpet amd floor the full house.

Happy days.

I sat in the Garden of my sister, with our dad.

It's the first time that my dad and I have seen them that close since our mums funeral on October 14th.

My sister did a little buffet, and we had a nice little chat in the sun.

As my dad said "It's like we've never been away.

That’s nice for you, both sitting with your thoughts and chatting

Thanks. Move went well. Lots to unpack. Cats are still terrified and hiding behind the sofa.

Got a brisket joint pot roasting on the hob. Gently bubbling away for 3-4 hours will make it melt-in-the-mouth tender. Smells lovely.

You may be able to book online:
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/corona...s-vaccination/

(That's the link for England. Follow the appropriate link from https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus for elsewhere)

Thanks I got as far as the list of centres then stopped as my local centre wasn't listed and as I only had my first Vaccination 6 weeks ago, so thought it best to wait for the phone call.

I booked my second one only a couple of weeks after I'd had my first. Second one is due at the end of May.

I had my second jab booked as I went to get my first jab, where I went they went through a phase of not giving out second jab dates, my dad fell into this band.

I phoned the number my sister gave me and just said I wanted to book my dad's second jab, and I had no issues getting a date.

I'll wait a few more weeks and if the doctors surgery hasn't phoned by then either phone them or use the link Spider posted but I really want to use the centre in next village.

This morning my sister booked here 1st and 2nd jabs.

This afternoon I meet my niece and sat outside Starbucks and had a drink and chat, some lovely uncle and niece time.

In a few weeks I should meet her Girlfriend, and I said I will try and not embarrass you too much.

Last year my nephew bought a GFX card for his PC for £180, he sold it last week for £350 as is can be used for Bitcoin mining.
