It’s unfortunate, and as copyright lasts for 70 years after the author’s death it could mean the original story can’t be broadcast by the BBC for another 14 years (Anthony Coburn died in 1977).

Netflix to raise prices in UK again!

It's finally time for me to cancel my Netflix subscription and stick to using BeeTV and Amazon Prime for all my streaming needs!

Quote:

The streaming giant said monthly charges for its UK basic service would rise by £1 to £7.99 and the advert-free option will increase by £2 to £17.99.

It reflects the firm's growing confidence, after adding 8.8 million subscribers from July to September.

It was the most in more than two years.

Thankfully, their standard service is not increasing in price though.

Sadly it seems to becoming a common occurence with the streaming giants.

Our strategy like many others is subscribe to the ones that serve your household best and get rid of the others.

My strategy is to cancel Netflix and very likely VM and just use BeeTV for all my streaming needs and Amazon Prime which I may also cancel eventually.

A means of acquiring streaming content without paying the content owner for it. Not legal.

My strategy is to leech my son's (aka 'the lodger') netflix sub. Still very little of interest on there for me, certainly wouldn't pay.

It's a 1 click app I put on my Firestick which gives me all the movies and TV shows for free, usually no buffering no sign-up needed but yer it's not exactly legal, but I don't care or worry about that.

It is a scrapper app that searches known content sharing sites and routes access to the content. It most likely creates its lists via api to TMDB and TVDB

Im old enough to be finding alternative sources since the Napster days, nothing for me to worry about, people who do the same talk and find the info just fine, whether it's this forum or anywhere else.

I made myself feel ancient now!
