I have Tomb Raider on Xbone and PS4, an the fact it runs at 1080p@60FPS on PS4 makes a huge difference.

Nor do I not want to see screen tearing and bad frame rate drops from something classed as next gen either. Just not good enough (yet).

I one a XBOX-ONE and have been on xboxlive for 5 years (just check my gamertag "Ooh im good") I would not bother buying one right now.

The price has dropped a lot, and the trade in price for a XBOX-ONE has dropped form £310 to £280 then £250 and its now at £230. Wait a few months and it will be £299 at xmas.

It was designed for always on and Kinect for everything, Microsft had to change this at the last minute so the whole thing is a dog. So if you really want a XBONE wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you will find this is a thread about the XBox One and not a place to promote the PS4 or slate the One.

Then rename the thread 'the Xbox one appreciation' thread. Sorry this thread should be any goes when it comes to the xbox one. Unless you don't like hearing what you already know.

I've already said the Xbox one isn't ready and it's poor to be released here in the state it is. I don't begrudge those that like to get these things on the day they are released, but you have to accept others are laughing or disagree with you (day one buyers) this time around.

I will wait for as long as it takes before I decide which one to buy, the xbox one isn't doing very well at the moment, it doesn't mean I want it fail either. Just very disappointed.

Well talking about its problems and slating it are both seperate things. We all know it has it's problems. A big one that Matt likes to point out is that for an all-in-one entertainment machine, it's pretty crap in that regard in terms of features. It's actually holding me back from buying some blu-rays which I really want to buy.

We can see the potential of the console but MS screwed it up big time. I'm glad I bought mine even though it does have its issues. I'll also enjoy my PS4 when I eventually get one.

Indeed. There's a difference between constructive criticism and rabidly slagging something off.

No. It's crap.

What we have in the UK is basic and pointless.

There is, as yet, no date at all for *full* One Guide functionality outside of the US. No date at all for any kind of Sky/VM/Freeview/Freesat listings or other integration.

I have it and it's a bit of a mess but it's not to bad. Voice commands are not working for me but working for others on forums. No way of separating radio and TV channels thou. Also DVR stuff works like play, pause, fw and rw. No way of getting into Sky Planner thou

Previewing System Updates: OneGuide and SmartGlass Updates in More Markets

So in addition what you can do today, we also want to explore some new ideas. That’s why we’re making a range of new features available to select Xbox Live members by invite only in the U.S., Europe, and Canada. Designed to improve the TV experience on Xbox One, the features bring elements of OneGuide to new markets, and they add OneGuide and universal remote control to Xbox SmartGlass.

Those select Xbox Live members will see:
  • An enhanced TV watching experience (that’s already available in the U.S.), which sees TV listings added to OneGuide, alongside Favorites and App Channels. This will work for people in Europe and Canada who have their TV connected to Xbox One via HDMI-in.
  • More control over Xbox One, their TV, and set-top box, including setting new recordings and watching recorded content from their DVR, all from a tablet or smart phone. Xbox SmartGlass also adds a cool new feature to show the most recently-watched channels.
  • New Kinect voice commands in Europe and Canada (already available in the U.S.) which let you control your set-top box and other AV equipment.

I find it funny that the day after MadGamer asked about that MS has released the preview for us :)

I tried it earlier.

Sky listings and basic control work well, apart from the clutter caused by the radio stations.

I tried using SmartGlass and managed to do Live Pause etc. Couldn't get to the Planner, though, despite the video on the Xbox Wire article saying you can access recorded content. Coming later, or just box dependent?

Ya i agree the radio channels clutter it up. I believe the planner part of it is coming soon. I think the USA has it but coming soon here

Any way someone can invite me onto the preview program? I missed out last time - I think the update was publicly released the day I was looking for an invite :)

Would be appreciated.

I don't think the invite thread is available anymore.
