Running x64 version now I've figured out how to disable the requirement of signed drivers and got my Audigy 4 Pro working :cool:

So, for anyone having trouble with x64 Vista drivers:

1. Hit Windows Key + R to bring up the Run command window.

2. Type cmd and hit Enter.

3. At the Command Prompt, type "bcdedit /set nointegritychecks ON" (without quotes).

NOTE: If you using an Audigy sound card, just download the Vista Beta driver dated 10th November 2005, unpack the .exe to the desktop with WinRAR and point Update Driver Software at C:\Users\Yourname\Desktop\SBAX_PCDVTBETA_US_2_08_0002\Drivers ;)

in edit to my boot set up advice earlier enter command prompt as above and enter
bcdedit /displayorder {802d5e32-0784-11da-bd33-000476eba25f}

Anyone else disappointed with Vista's new Disk Defragmenter?

Well it doesn't seem to do a great deal for me. Currently after Vista (Beta 2) is installed, the system partition is heavily fragmented, especially the x64 build, so I thought I'd try Diskeeper and found this:

Working perfectly on x64 Beta 2, I've not tested it on x86 yet but I gather it should work OK.

How is your Vista partition heavily fragmented already?

Trust me, at the minute there is no background defragmentation going on while Vista is installing and due to the large amount of data being copied to the disk, you end up with quite a fragmented system partition.

I think this is something MS need to consider before Vista hits RTM.

Whoever was using IP: 24.165.54.135 and trying to climb out of the secure folder hosting Vista on my FTP is a damn moron!!

I have passed my logs on to "OCEANIC-INTERNET-RR" and the hawaii ISP which was being used.

When you connect to my FTP server, you may have seen a little notice which explains ALL activity is logged and checked.
Trying to climb out of a jailshelled FTP folder is not only futile, but borderline moronic on a server which openly states full logging is enabled and tracked.

Any more of this crap & I will drop the FTP service.

Didn't i already post how to get the beta using a non-ntl proxy? Off topic I'm still using that proxy for downloads because it's fast...
