I agree with you slowcoach on that electron microscope comment,so sly when companys do that, most us here probably understand what speeds and capacity mean its the poor newcomers to the net who get burned with false advertising like that, their tv advert is bold white letters on black background advertising the £9.99 price and I'm sure theres no disclaimer saying just for the 1st 1gb downed.I'm actually so glad I stuck to my guns and kept on ntl now. |
Re: *All* ntl Cap Discussion (part 4)
£9.99 is far from viable and just a price to lure people in and they will pay more once they hit the 1 gig, their will only be 2 categories of users on that. The ones who dont use it which will be profitable and the ones who use it and go voer and ultimately pay more then 9.99.

They are not NTL so they can get away with it. However if NTL did it then the same old crew from here would lambast them and scream. "LETS REPORT THEM TO THE ASA" Mean while the same old crew will be saying i am off to bulldog there grass is greener than NTL's. But at the end of the day they are still here in there little corner complaining about how bad NTL is and then continuing to use them. |

But as i said before. If the grass is much greener on the other side why are some not moving there ?. Or is it in the cold light of day NTL are not that BAD after all :) Not talking about any one in particular mind you  |
Re: *All* ntl Cap Discussion (part 4)
Well the reason why Bulldog customers aren't complaining on here is because it is a NTL forum. NTL customers come here, generally if they have a complaint, not with daily "all is well" comments. It's not rocket surgery. ;)

Re: *All* ntl Cap Discussion (part 4)
Terrible advertising by bulldog. It equates to £36 a month (assuming you use more than 9gig a month) for less speed than NTL with the added likelyhood you probably won't even be able to get the full 8mb. MMM..pay more for less speed and have to use bulldog as my phone provider...that's a tough one :). The ASA really do need to do something about their TV adverts as they are VERY misleading.
Also, from Paul M's reply to Zeph, does that mean 10mb will be going to down to £25? I assumed 10mb (capped) will be at £35 and 2mb (unlimited) will be at £25 or have I missed something. |
