Mine is just automated, controlled by a system I wrote, which works using the outside and inside temperatures.

It sets the desired temperature on the Hive system, which then triggers the actual heating to be on.

In September it triggered about 4 times, mostly just for a few minutes in the early hours of the morning, when its coolest.

Decided to put my heating on automatic and increase it to 22c, the house temperature is 21c(so not bad) but with the weather I feel a chill sitting here in a t-shirt and my jumpers are in the washing machine, it'll also be a colder evening with temperatures expected to be 7c (feels like 4c) at 6am but I'll turn it all off before I go into work.

I increased mine to 23.5 earlier, it's been coming on and off ever since. It's too cold if I can't wear just my trunks :naughty: happy birthday Maggy

Your flat must be drafty, when was the last time you wore long trousers?

If I worked from home I think my heating would be set to 21-22c all day and evening.

What sort of a working from home job do you do, maybe a Nigerian scammer? :D

Funny you say about draft. The council want to insulate the walls, change the windows and do some other work to the building, roof may be, my front door has already been sealed shut! I get a cold draft from the kitchen but that's expected. You got my £6 or do you want my job as well

So that explains why you put your heating on the tropical settings and prance around in shorts when at home, get the draft sorted.

Friday is Breakfast Roll day and that is where my £6 is going, so you won't scam me out of it like you keep trying to. ;)

My heating hasn't gone off even though I can roam in shorts and t shirt on my way to Tesco. Warmth is good. :tu:

My heating tripped on by itself for the first time today at 8.15am but only for 15mins, house is currently a pleasant 22c while I'm out at work.

I set my heat to 24°c the other day. Today it's proving to be the right temperature.

You're 2-3° higher than most people I suspect, but you did say your place is not very well insulated.

It's lovely and toasty. The draft from the kitchen and sunlight only hitting three sides on the building doesn't help but the council wants to do some work to the building so here's hoping for better insulation.
