Depending on the content, this could be a useful addition to Virgin Media, although being pay per view, I'm not sure that I would use it. However, it could appeal to those who want to keep their subscriptions low.

I had a look on their site, OB, it's very similar to Netflix/Amazon, with similar content.

Thanks, Max. All I would say is that by carrying this service VM would be giving people an opportunity of accessing these programmes by subscription or PPV.

Although I rarely watch PPV as it is very expensive if used a lot, I do think that people should have the choice.

As SVOD begins to transform the way people watch TV, it is important that different genres are covered by the various streaming services.

This one looks promising, and I think it would be a good one for VM to acquire.

A new SVoD service has come out of beta, focusing on arts and culture for British and US users.

The service, called Marquee.TV, has been running in beta mode for six months and is now live in the US and the UK on a range of devices. It is available via native apps on iOS and Android, Apple TV and Amazon Fire for £8.99 and $8.99 in the two countries.

The platform offers dance, opera, music, theatre and documentary content, partnering with global arts organisations as well as drawing content from international broadcasters and independent producers, featuring both on-demand content and independent live performances from different venues.

Not even worth £3.99 IMO.

It beats spending £100-£200 on a ticket. It's good value if you are an arts lover.

Look how much people pay for Premiership football!

Ay, these niche streaming services have a very high opinion of their own worth!

Yes I agree, streaming is expensive - possibly ok if you only want a couple of services but what are you going to watch the rest of the time?

Cost was the reason for me not subscribing to the NRL streaming - an appropriate monthly charge would have been less than £5 imo. After all it is only a part of 1 sport that I like to watch.
