If it follows 2, 3 & 4 HD it would go in the XL pack only

If that crap was ever a premium channel then we really are doomed.

Not heard a thing about this channel , people claim its been mentioned in VM adverts in the small print. Could it be a mistake ?

A pretty basic mistake! I can't understand what has happened here - why would anyone want to make up channels that don't exist, like Sky 2 HD and also create their own logo?

Very strange. Maybe somebody's having us on.

If you want blockbusters, you are looking in the wrong place Vince! You'll only find them on Sky Movies or Virgin Movies. However, you will find colour films on these minor Christmas film channels.

As for the intriguing Mr/Ms reference, you did refer to yourself as a lonely girl in a call centre (or words to that effect) a few weeks ago, which did throw us all into confusion!

Monday update from Media Boy HQ.

Movies 24 confirmed launch date for Christmas 24.

Movies 24 has confirm that Christmas 24 will launch on November 1st (Not November 2nd as first reported by me).

Some UKTV channels added to XL on Demand.

Over the past weekend Media Boy HQ has seen that Watch, Home and Good Food has been added to XL on Demand over the past month.

Well, VM did say that they had the same deal as Sky to get the UKTV VOD services. This was a long time ago, can't remember when, but it's taken them long enough to put them on.

Maybe UKTV have eventually given in and accepted the amount that VM were prepared to pay.

I would guess that you are correct IMO.

- Viacom want Spike TV to be carried on VM from next year.

- LFC HD in "very early talks" with a view to be carried on VM.

VM, along with other parties, have been invited to tender for the remaining equipment at the former BBC Television Centre.

IIRC, on offer are a satellite farm and items/sets from Doctor Who, Match Of The Day, Newsnight etc.

Anyone can tender (private individuals included), if anyone is interested, let me know and I'll get the info. for you :)

Thanks for latest rumours.

I did seen reports on DS Forum last week that LFC TV HD was testing up to last week on Sky.

Indeed. Perhaps someone at VM creates these mock-up logos and the staff have a sweepstake, guessing how long it will take for the "new channel" to be mentioned on Cable Forum. ;)

With ITV ordering its first new commission for ITV Encore, it will be interesting to see when this channel will actually be added to the VM lineup.

Maybe sometime next year if we are lucky.

Apparently, new commissions will have first run on Encore and will then be shown on ITV, so even though they are now showing new programming, we won't miss anything.

Other than missing the first run?

Repeating the programming on ITV makes sense for ITV in that they mop up extra advertising income after gaining subscription income. I'm not so sure that this is such a wonderful situation for VM subscribers, we get to pay for the privilege of waiting to watch the repeat airings with FTA viewers.
