Lifetime to be moved into the L package and LifetimeHD to launch on VM in XL pack in 2nd quarter of 2014.

When did Lifetime launch? We might be able to work out roughly when the Sky HD exclusivity period ends.

Sorry but what a complete load of tosh.

So you've been told by a viewer that if you post something without permission, VM will not go ahead with whatever it was?

LOL

It was nothing to do with Virgin Media.

I think that the licence deal for CatupUp via TV providers is 7 days.

No techincal issue - just how the rights are done. A few programmes are only 5 days.

Yes, I know, ozsat, but there is no reason that I know of why Virgin Media need to operate in that way unless there are rights issues that prevent this.

Unless of course there is nothing to link the recording to when the 7 day period expires. That would make the whole idea a non starter!

The BBC i-Player will be showing programmes on catch up for 4 weeks soon, so these things can change.

[QUOTE=Media Boy;35661744]The only info I have seen was from before Christmas coming with an 'Do Not Post' order from an Virgin Media Viewer.

They also said: Do not post as it is not for public consumption until it has been made public and if you do post it will just simply not happen.

No confirmed news from any insiders since 2013.

I object to that. Of course we don't take notice of what he posts. Most of the time they don't make any sense anyway. :D

Crimewatch is even shorter!

I'd bet on Lifetime HD coming around the 4th of May then.

Yes, I do hope that this is extended to Catch Up TV or the iplayer version on VM. Will be much more convenient.

Oh that's good news, the TiVo version of I player should mean we benefit from that.

Are the V+ and TiVo versions of the BBC I-player the same, or different?

They are different, of course, because the V+ does not have its own internet connection or ability to run apps.

V+ shares with the V HD the old VOD delivery for BBC OD.

This would be a new carriage deal so you may expect History HD or CI HD to arrive with that.

However A&E are in this country in partnership with Sky which seems to be what most of the withheld non-sky channels seem to be apart of.

Clearly the two can't reach a viable commercial agreement at this time , people have been arguing on here for ages that Sky are withholding these channels but frankly I really doubt that's true.

BT has managed to reach an agreement to carry History HD , Nat Geo Wild HD , C&I HD and UPC Ireland have carried these for a while now.

I think those 2 could arrive too around same time as LifetimeHD. Natgeowild HD is supposed to launch on VM within the first quarter of 2014 but take that with a pinch of salt.
As far as i'm aware from info i've been given VM are going to concentrate more on faster broadband and more on demand content and providers.
