If MRS worked on all channels, as it should, then we would have 6 tuners and a recording capacity of up to 2Tb

As I like sitting on the fence I'd have to say I'd like a mixture of TIVO/Sky+HD

Sky+HD menu speed

TIVO three tuners

Sky+HD start a show or On Demand at a viewer desired location (ie input 20 mins)

TIVO wishlist and clash management

Sky+HD OD menu UI easier to find shows in my opinion

TIVO search

Sky+HD back to back recordings on same channel (granted more important if you only have two tuners

TIVO backwards EPG

Sky+HD dynamic EPG and larger capacity HDD options

You can do this on a V+ you must be able to do it on TiVo as well.

Virgin have 3.8 million TV customers. Only 1.3 million of those customers have access to 3 tuners via their TiVo box. That means 66% of Virgins TV customers don't have the 3 tuner in one box facility. So 3 tuners really are only being enjoyed by the minority. However at the rate that Virgin are installing TiVo boxes to customers I recond the majority of Virgin TV customers will be enjoying 3 tuners by this time next year. I could be one of them if Virgin are offering good deals when my SKY contract expires :)

the single biggest problem with TiVo.

And if you have 2 channels with back to back programmes you are buggered(as it tries to do 4 at once) unless you really understand the system.

you cannot not have buffering as default without a dynamic guide too.

One of the things I used to like about cable was that it wasn't filled with the hundreds of dross channels you get on Sky.

I thought he meant 3 recordable tuners. That's why when I originally posted I also posted about my recording woes with SKY.

Thanks for the info again mb,but whilst its good to hear of new channels am I the only one who feels there filling there epg with total crap at the minute :confused:
