Whatever you think of Sky I'm not sure why they would do this. The value of the channels is in the brand and the viewers. If Sky wanted to programs to put on Sky 1 they could have just bid for them in the first place.

If Sky 'asset strip' they channels then they are making their own purchase worthless

I wouldn't be so sure. It's not as if Sky haven't purchased the competition just to asset strip and close it down before..

You maybe onto something here, since yes I have a . (dot) in between my first and second initials, do you think that this is causing a field validation problem?

I also have a "." too, 3rd character in...

Maybe a good point if those of you who cannot register have any of the above "characters" in your email address.

As a matter of interest has anyone been able to register with any of the above characters...... if so, then that theory is out the window!

Waits with baited breath to see if BenMcr77 has any luck.

Just a note, I remember that when I started with my current email address I was automatically given a selection of options based on my name. I chose one of those, most incidentally had a "." as the 3rd character.... sorry just thought I'd share that whilst waiting for Ben lol!:)
