Re: Battlestar Galactica - Season 4 (US Timeline)
I've just watched it.
Frak me, what a battle that was! I wonder how the rebel Cylons managed to persuade the centurions to fight (given that they couldn't order them any more, after giving them volition by removing their telencephalic inhibitors)? Galactica certainly gave her all - a noble last battle for the last Battlestar. And what is it about the Eights? They all seem to turn traitor! (But for the best of reasons - actually the only reason Boomer shot Adama was to try to resolve her own inner conflict by getting herself killed; the last thing she expected was to be taken prisoner rather than simply blown away) Am I the only one who was well chuffed to see justice done for Cally? I liked her, she was so cute and feisty. Maybe Galen finally found some peace - he deserved it after all he went through. And what irony for Baltar! All that work and effort to get away from his farming roots on Aerilon, and what happens? He ends up, by choice, on his own farm! Delicious! Has anyone spotted the allegory to the original series, viz. "There are those who believe that life here began out there" - well, it seems that was true! We never did really find out about Starbuck, though. Apparently she was dead... And who played that damn song to switch on the Final Five (well, Four)? Or did Ellen do that? Oh well. Roll on Caprica! |

Remember it is only because of John/Cavil that the Cylons were going after the Colonies in the first place. If the Final Five had had their way everyone probably would have been at peace The Raiders wouldn't attack the Final Five until they had been 'amended' |
Re: Battlestar Galactica - Season 4 (US Timeline)
Well I just watched the very last episode and I've got to say that it was absolutely brilliant. Every credit to the writers, who effectively put the series to bed in great style. :erm:
The whole storyline came together, all loose ends were (effectively) tied up and the ending was indeed credible to the point whereupon (to my mind) it left the viewer with an alternative view to the origin of human evolution that perhaps even Charles Darwin would have contemplated. Still sad to see the series come to an end though, sigh.......................! :( Oh heck - I hope I'm not descended from Gaius Baltar! Frakin hell! :D |
