Right, but I was limiting my reply to the point about content being streamed on ITV X before being aired on the live channels.

The features you list aren't unique to ITV X. They were also present in its predecessor, ITV Hub.

A lot of people give them shit for their 'Sky Original' movies but it was the correct strategy at the correct time especially as there was a need for more exclusive product as the overall number of studio titles started dropping pre-covid and also got them access to a few titles that were sold by distributors who couldn't get them out theatrically... and it's a good thing they're still leaning into it whether it's just acquiring titles or actually boarding them at the production level... also it was quietly announced this week that one of their titles, A Good Person, looks like it's going to have an exclusive theatrical window... that's a real big deal if they want to continue scaling and play for some bigger titles that are taken to market.

Sky is finished in my opinion , the next nail in the coffin will be if it loses Premier League Football.

Oh yes, football rights are what saved Sky from bankruptcy. The rights holders know this and keep creaming off more and more money from them.

Sky is a solid company and part of a successful American cable and film company so it will be around for some time. However, it is unique in both being a content producer and an infrastructure operator, which goes against the current fashion.

I don't see any company out there willing to take a significant amount of its sports content from Sky Sports. If Sky Sports drops any content, it will likely be because it does not want it badly.

The "X" in ITVX is not short for Extra. They just chose X because it sounds good.

In the current climate such a move would undoubtedly be a big risk. I forsee a big loss of customers on the TV side. I'd certainly be considering options given the percentage of repeats on most channels.

No doubt the other two will follow suit as there is only so much customers will pay and given the economic conditions currently its likely all three will lose customers with yet another inflation busting rise.

I'm sure O2 have had this 3.9% + RPI baked in to their contracts for years, they certainly wont buck the trend so anyone who has had their Virgin mobile moved over to O2 will likely get a hefty increase.

Judge Judy will no longer broadcast on the following channels from Jan 1st via Virgin Media:

I have seen posts on DS Forum of posters thinking that Local TV (aka Made TV) is maybe set to be takeover or merge with That's TV.

I did know that Made TV Channels no longer broadcast on Sky as of December 1st.

The link is just the Companies House webpage. All I did was check the registered address and directors for companies linked to the That's TV group and with G-Man / Canis Television & Media. The registered address is the same but not conclusive as companies often use an accountancy company for the registered address. Having directors in common is more of a clue. I gave up on trying to find a corporate structure linking the companies.

Also Comux (the company running the local TV multiplexes) used to show That's TV and Made TV as having significant control of the company, now it only lists That's TV.

No direct links between That's TV & Made TV were obvious.

601 on Sky is owned by Warner Bros Discovery and is used for Cartoon Network, so Sky can't just take it for themselves. They need to follow their own EPG policy, just like everyone else.

609 was probably the easiest one to buy, Sky bought the Fox slot from Disney previously aswell.
