A little flour with salt and black pepper. Fry for 6 to 8 minutes and then add the onion gravy. Simmer for another 15 mins. As to the mash, try a mix of sweet potatoes and Maris Piper. One third sweet. Shallots are the best for the onion gravy.

Brunswick ham from the deli counter, fried eggs and potato wedges. (the wedges are made using Maris Piper spuds roasted in olive oil, red and black pepper and runny honey). Lovely :D

What I love good ice cream , custard slices, brie, jelly beans & O BOY O BOY REAL hot dogs & burgers not the rubbish you get here. Will stock up AGAIN on fruit loops.
What I get is posh rabbit food & white fish ,steamed chicken ( I hate steamed chicken !)

Chicken Risotto (with freshly grated Parmesan mixed in for the last two minutes) - tedious to make (constant adding of stock and stirring for 30 minutes), but lovely to eat....

Dog food....

... well the dogs eat just as good as we do...

Their usual staple every 7 days between them is 2.5kg of chicken boiled and deboned, two tubs of chicken livers and a kilo of rice mixed in.. They have it served with a raw egg and some complete dog food mixer in a stainless steel bowl.... I tend to have it with some curry sauce poured over it on a decent plate :D

I like your "pot luck" idea.
I had a frittata including leftover cabbage, cauli, potato and peas with a bit of bacon and salad. (Not really used to the idea of 'leftovers'). It was suprisingly good :D

Roquefort on Sainsbury's high baked water biscuits. For some reason Carrs stopped making the high baked a few years ago. The Sainsbo ones are good though. Spicy pickled shallots and gherkins. No prizes for guessing who'll have heartburn around 5.00 A.M. It'll be worth it though :D

Did you know that restaurants can ( well unless the law has changed) call dried soup mix "homemade" as it is not soup until the water is added :erm:
Years ago when I worked for C & A we had "british made " shirts - made in Hong kong with out the collars attached - this was done in UK so british made shirts :dozey:

Just had an egg in a bun - squish the the bottom of the bun, break the egg into it, a bit of salt and pepper, pierce the yolk and then into to microwave for a minute. Am not up to eating much today but: yum :)

A tip for students on the go :D

(A "bun" to me might be a roll or cob or batch)
