Won't live ITV England be available using ITV Hub? Then there is ITV+1 SD.
AD is available on the main channel numbers, so no need for dedicated channels.
Seems ridiculous to have 5 BBC1 channels across the nations that are in HD and the content is mostly the same or just different scheduling.

If you have series links on the HD channels then they will be okay. If you had them set on SD channels then you'd need to change them if the SD channel has closed.
