Following the new deals with Sky, Discovery and Viacom, which other carriage deals are up in the next few months? I think Disney are next up with the launch of Disney+ not far away.

DS is reporting that "4 Nickelodeon channels will be included in the Mix package as of 1st November"

Source: DS Forum and DXRulz.

Will November 1st be the next round of new channels launches and channel numbers from Virgin Media and Viacom?

Probably. Though if there are any HD swap-out/replacements, they'll likely happen a few days earlier like with the Discovery channels.

Bare minimum Channel 5 and Paramount go HD only. There's no ad region differences and they are available on all tiers.

Well with Discovery in certain cases, the SD and HD channels included within separate TV packages (e.g. TLC SD was included in the Mix TV package, whereas TLC HD was available in the Full House TV package). Where this was the case, the HD channel did replace the SD channel in the that package. This means you'll still continue to enjoy all the great programming on that channel after the change.

No news on what broadcaster deal is next up for renewal. It maybe any of the following base on the last new channel we got from them.

2015:
NGC-UK Partnership - We got Nat Geo Wild HD

2016:
Channel Four Television Corporation - We got 4Seven HD.

2017:
Turner Broadcasting System Europe - We got TCM HD and Cartoon Network HD

2018:
Columbia Pictures Corporation Ltd - For more Sony channels

Unknown:
Disney Channels Worldwide
Bauer Radio

I wasn't saying there wouldn't be out of same package HD replacements, just that I thought those two channels were a dead cert because they were available to everyone.

Is Nat Geo UK still a business Sky has a stake in? I wonder when it, and other similar partnerships in UK versions of Sky is part of, will change.

You are getting Sky mix up with FOX - National Geographic Society and Disney Channels Worldwide own NGC-UK Partnership.

But Sky do own part of:

A&E Networks UK [50%],
Baby TV
Nickelodeon (UK & Ireland) [40%]
Comedy Central (Paramount UK Partnership*).

*Rumours says that Sky are in talks with Viacom to sell their stake in Paramount UK Partnership to Viacom ahead of the launch of Sky Comedy.

I did know Fox was part of the Nat Geo group, I just thought I vaguely remembered Sky being a partner too. That could just be a misremembered thing because Fox had connection to Sky before the Fox/Disney deal recently.

Sky did own a stake in the NGC-UK Partnership. It sold it to Fox who as we know were bought by Disney.

Yes Sky did part own NGC-UK Partnership from 1997 until December 2007.

The NGS provides programming expertise, while BSkyB provides its expertise on distribution, marketing, commercial and advertising sales. The partnership builds and operates National Geographic channels and services across Europe. It is headquartered in London. In December 2006, News Corporation purchased 25 percent of the Society's stake in the company. This meant that BSkyB owned half company, while the National Geographic Society and News Corp held 25 percent share each. In December 2007, BSkyB sold its stake in the partnership to the Fox Entertainment Group, through its Fox Networks Group subsidiary.

Cartoon Network HD and TCM HD were added to Virgin in early 2013, however the existing deal was renewed in November 2016 which included on-demand content. It seems it could be up for renewal again, if this happens, I can see Virgin dropping WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks' (ex-Turner) SD channels, with exception to Cartoonito and the timeshifts and Boomerang SD will be replaced by Boomerang HD.

Cartoonito will probably have a HD version soon, considering it is performing quite well (it has the same audience share as Nickelodeon).
