Bistro-Set even managed to build the table myself although I was left with 4 clear rubber plugs then realized that they go under the glass  so yip had to take apart and do it all over again this time the correct way. I'm so chuffed that I built this up myself as I must admit hubby usually does all that type of stuff.

... and so you should be. :tu: It only takes a little confidence and then you find you start tackling other jobs and getting a lot of satisfaction from so doing. As for missing out parts, that's something we've all done. I did something similar when building Osem Jnr's Ikea bunk bed and had to take it all apart...

My old man used to joke about doing a car job and ending up with a profit.:erm:

I'm a little more conscientious and consider no leftovers to be a job well done.:)

Well I have two sisters both younger than me if that's what you mean.

Despite getting in late last night/early this morning I was down to Lidl's first thing and picked up 4 dimmable GU10 LED bulbs for a buddy.

Just ordered a new element for the fan oven on-line from all-spares. £21.50 inc delivery so not too bad. Fortunately I'd noted the part number for it in the handbook from the last time it went. They last about 5 years but we do use the oven virtually every day and I also bake bread which needs it to go flat out at ~270C Probably hastens the demise.

Although the oven was part of a B&Q kitchen package and branded "Banquet Cuisine" it's actually made by Homark and spares are readily available. The element is used by several other manufacturers as well.

Two 5 metre warm white LED light strips from Amazon for the kitchen. They're to replace eleven 221mm 30W tube lamps 6 above and 5 below the cabinets that are forever blowing and darned expensive to replace. There are some LED drop in replacements but they're even more expensive: Around £10 a pop whereas the two strips are £6.50 odd a piece.

I'll run up a 12v dimmable power supply from the bits and bobs I have lying about to juice them.

Re: What have you just bought?

Must have got the buying bug: Just ordered a new high gain Freeview antenna kit which includes 10m of co-ax. The old one on the gable has been disintigrating for years but a gale recently rotated it 180 and twisted thro 90 so understandably the picture is not very good.

I'll be trying the new one in the loft* as I can get it to within about 10 feet horizontally from the one on the gable so hopefully it'll get enough signal. I can also route the cable down inside stud walls to the point where the old antenna cable is under the floor and has a junction point.

*I don't do ladders.
