Apprently its just called 4400 (no 'The').
Teasers are never a great thing to to go by. However, they certainly dont inspire me to want to see it. It also seems the mysterious force involved here just loved to kidnap coloured people. Then again, the shows basic description really gives that away; Quote:

I'll give the first couple a watch and see how I feel.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
I am all for different characters with different backgrounds and stories but i am on the same page as Paul on this. If they are just using it as a platform to preach about BLM, immigration, war, police shootings and whatever else is going on in the US then i am not interested. The original was great so they have got no excuse. They know what works and what doesnt.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Very sadly Willie Garson aka Martin Lloyd from Stargate SG1 has passed away. He was only in three episodes but they were some of my favourite of the entire series and I would definitely put them in the top 10.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
A new version of Babylon 5 is in development at the CW.
J. Michael Straczynski will write and executive produce a ”from-the-ground-up“ new version of ’90s-era science fiction series |
Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
I don't think The CW is the right channel for that...

Even if they replicated the story and script word for word there is no way you can reproduce those acting performances. It wasn't just one person, it was all of them and I do not parrot these names of lightly: Captain Sheridan, Delenn, Vir, Londo, G'Kar, Garibaldi, Ivanova, Bester, even flipping Zathras for god sake. It is like Game of Thrones where there are so many amazing characters and performances and it doesn't need to be remade ever. Quote:

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Thank god, at least it is a type of continuation and not a remake. Absolute damn shame so many of the cast have passed away. For those of you who dont know Delenn, Vir, Londo, G'Kar, Garibaldi, Dr Franklin and Zack have left us, possibly a few more. The only surviving cast members are Sheridan, Ivanova and Lenir.
I dont know if the dude who scored the soundtrack is still alive but they need to get him back as well. Watching those intros again has made me want to watch them all again. Such a phenomenal series. |
Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
At least J. Michael Straczynski is involved and will be writing it. That part should at least mean the scripts are decent.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Yeah. I just hope he gets carte blanche and complete free rein.
