Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

Mine went exactly the same as kiwibreaks, bang on 9pm last night,
tried a couple of resets, no change. This is area 02.

This is on top of the packet loss I have had for months,
and the area been over utilized. Not good at the moment.

Thanks for the suggestion but it's still there.

In a peering link. Strangely enough not the linkx one to TBB.

Having to refesh sometimes to get pages to load. Annoying.

See the VM DNS CACHE 2 chart a few posts earlier, Kwikkie.

Yes there's another in that same set showing it too. I don't think the problem is any of the end points concerned it's going to be in that telehouse link shown in my pathping to the BBC.

Noting what you say about the computers being off, maybe there's an upstream impairment that could be revealed by your modem stats and event log. Any chance we could see these? Please refresh the upstream stats so we can see if upstream power is moving from refresh to refresh.

You still have not told me how to do it!

I would post the logs but I don't know how to get them.

Yay for nonsensical routing cockups.

Note that it doesn't affect everyone even in the same area, it's basically random depending on source and destination ip address.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

I think it possible that those using VM DNS (at the time) are seeing this and those not seeing this packet loss are not using VM DNS.

Possibly that simples looking at the TBBs above.

You will do because the superhub only uses DNS of virgin medias

Kaizer83 15-08-2012 14:31

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

My superhub is in modem mode therefore i have full control of what DNS i use through my own router.
