Can't remember where I saw it, but I read somewhere that the ECB will not sack Cook, he will have to resign the captaincy. Personally, I think they deserve this. They made KP a scapegoat and look at them. Still doing rubbish. If I was KP, I would be laughing a little bit at the state of the cricket team.

The ECB should swallow the pride and bring him back forthwith as yes he is a maverick but mavericks can change a game in a instant which is something England don't have.

Lets hope they call Jos Buttler up as he should have been picked in the May test series against Sri Lanka.

Why on earth do they give test matches to places like Southampton and Cardiff, the crowds at the Rose Bowl apart from Sunday have been abysmal.

l think the biggest problem here is starting a test match on a Sunday iadom.

Definitely Den. I know it's the holiday season, but including four weekdays in what is supposed to be a five day match is inexcusable. Not everyone's on holiday. I want them to swing the bat and declare by tea as well.

Agreed on the Sunday start, plain stupid. Ideally Sat/Sun should be the 4th & 5th day but not many England tests have lasted that long recently.

I think the usual starting on a Thursday so sat/sun are days 3/4 works well. You're pretty much guarenteed play on those days then. I don't know why they've decided to change it to odd days, maybe to fit the tour into a shorter period of time?
