Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle at a local venue in NW Leeds.

Not our usual fare, but a friend’s daughter was one of the soloists (she’s a mezzo-soprano), and they were supported by Leeds Festival Chorus, who were excellent.

Anybody interested in the above stream, it’s from Heartland Public Radio and broadcasts 24/7, ad-free. As well as the ‘Traditional Classic Country’ they have a couple of other channels, ‘Today’s Classic Country’ and ‘Bluegrass Gospel’.

I cant believe the filesize is so small yet sounds as good as it does.... Its only 1.37Megs (64k)

The program I have (Screamer player) saves stuff at the bitrate it comes in at (I think up to 320k -- If its over that it saves it at 320)

This is really the nicest media player I ever had had!! (One touch save!!!)

And I didnt click RECORD until the end of the song,secinds before he title changed and I would have lost it.. THE WHOLE SONG WAS GOTTON!!

This cassette was done in 1973 and sounds goregous..... I had one 1 time from 1985 (WBBS FM 101 Oldies) and it sounded cold and flat .... But for 1985 im not surprised....

Im glad I have the 8 track of this album. I got the record and it was horrible.... Some songs lower volume than others,etc.........

The 8 track was done right.......

KTEL started to suck in the late 70s..... They changed how they did thier records and it just went to crap.......

He was indeed. I have a couple of records that used to be my dad's. Though i can't listen to Matthew or Sunshine on my Shoulder any longer as we had them at my dad's funeral, so too emotional for me now.

Discovered Lambrini Girls a few months ago and they are my fav at the moment, I know their lyrics aren't Radio 1 compatible, but I first heard them on Radio 2 (Jo Whiley) and love them. Post here how the concert goes - I bet it'll be superb. The track *********101 makes me laugh so much, I bet it'll be even better live.

Went to see Chicane - Symphonic at Festival Hall in London over the weekend.
Dance music but played by a full orchestra. Great stuff!

The infamous Lambrini Girls last night, gig got moved from 200 capcity to 400 capacity venue after tickets sold at really quickly, next tour I see they've already moved up to bigger venues, rather than back rooms of pubs :)

they were v good, v shouty, and sweary as expected, but as often is the problem with punk bands there was a bit too much preaching to the converted at times between songs.

singer probably spent as much time in the crowd conducting most pits and circles pits as she did on stage with guitar :)

as expect C Word ology 101 was last song played :)

Will check out the support Alien Chicks later as they were pretty good
