Given the so called "top picks" turn out to be 0-0, BT may be better off going after Sky.

But you knew that, right?

Still, at least Bt have kept a good relationship with Sky - that will work in their favour...

Sorry, I thought they got the time of the matches, not first picks.

BT sport have mainly the 12:45 saturday slot

The majority of teams who will be playing in what we'll consider top pick matches won't be playing on a Saturday lunchtime after Wednesday and Thursday Champions and Europa League matches. Even if Bt got to choose first - and I think it's quite clear that Sky would have gone after pack A rather than D if that was the case - their choice would be limited by opposition from the Premier League's most powerful clubs.

It's also worth pointing out that 5 of their top picks come from package G.

Anyway, fixtures out tomorrow!

http://www.sportingintelligence.com/...t-next-190601/ is a good article to read. Based on the fixtures of the season just gone it would have been possible for Bt to have precisely no weekend top 6 team v. Top 6 team matches!

We should start a "myths about Bt sports" thread!

I agree, BT a have done a good job burying what they have actually got. I am sure there will be a lot of unhappy punters out there when the penny drops.

Is it TRUE that people who take by broadband to get the by sports channel for free only get it free for 12 months if do watch the subscriptions drop when they start charging

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

Bt have said they have "no plans" to start charging after at year, but have refused to confirm that they definitely will not. The hd charge will definitely be charged in year 2.

Received this email from VM today:

Hello John,
Thanks for registering to get the latest on BT Sport.
At the moment we're still talking with BT about how we can make the BT Sport package available to you when it launches this summer.
As soon as we have any news, we'll let you know.
Don't forget that you can still watch ESPN on channel 529 and in HD on channel 530 until 31st July.
And in the meantime, British Eurosport will keep you captivated with the Tour de France in July, as well as bringing you extensive coverage of the Athletics World Championship from Moscow and Vuelta a Espana in August.
Kind regards,
The Virgin Media team

I think the interesting bit of that is "how" we can make it available, which certainly suggests BT want to sell it direct to the customer and not via a third party, otherwise, how would be easy and it would be just down to cost issues.
