I'm very happy for all you Premier League footy watchers with Match Choice etc.

The key thing is going to be when I have seen say cricket over runs and go onto the red button. Or in the case of the cricket World Cup there are games happening at the same time and to access the other games it was the red button.

Still looks to me like we don't have the full proper red button service and just what Virgin are wanting to give us :(

Cricket is my sport as well and i am concerned we may get very little via the red button as has been the case all summer, with a couple of matches that were live on sky red button, not being available to vms sky sports subs(both west indies matches).

As you say i wonder what the deal will be when it comes to cricket world cups with matches happening all the time?

As it stands and i was told this, vm only get what sky want to give them, and none of us customers knows exactly what the deal is as vm have not told us.But seeing as the red button has only happened twice for cricket all summer, we can assume i think its a watered down version as far as the cricket is concerned at least.:(

Can I just say that I grew up with what was on the TV, That was it. So the red button does not mean anything to me as I have tasted life without it. I think that a few posters one here have gone through the same as well.

It is just a time where you have grown up and got what you wanted or you had to take what you were given?

True but when it comes to the red button on sky sports on vm i feel vm customers are paying for it devil,it costs £22.50 a month not cheap, why take what you are given without complaint?

Especailly when it leads to missing sport you feel you have paid for,do not know about you but when i pay for something i like to feel i am getting value for money.

The fact is that if we pay the same as Sky subscribers for Sky Sports then we should recieve the same functionality as them because we are paying enough in our bills

Actually denphone vm customers pay more for sky sports £20.25 with sky, £22.50 a month with vm.;)

I fully agree with you.

Den,

I have had Sky for years now and as I recall there was no red button service at launch but when it did arrive there was no added cost to my subscription, therefore,to say you pay enough for the channels may be true but I dont think it say's that a red button service is part of that cost to view these channels.

Has not your Sky sports subs risen year by year relentlessly since it first started so l suspect you are paying for it as part of your Skys Sports subscription.
