While on the subject of On Demand nice to see a new service launching from the UKTV network (UKTV Play). You will not be shocked to learn they have no plans for it to be on VM, just Youview, Sky, and IOS devices.

What is your source? UKTV have not made any reference to its being available on Sky in their press release. The platforms the company mentions are PC, iOS and YouView. http://corporate.uktv.co.uk/news/art...and-uktv-play/

It's never been free realistically. The price of XL includes the HD cost all be it in a sneaky way by VM.

Rumour: UEFA Super Cup to launch Sky Sports 5?

Media Boy HQ thinks the UEFA Super Cup game of Real Madrid VS Sevilla will launch Sky Sports 5.

Here is why we think that:
A) It been confirmed that Sky Sports 5 will launch at 6pm on August 12th on Sky and Virgin Media (other networks too).
B) UEFA Super Cup is being played on August 12th.

I can't see the SPFL games being moved to SKY Sports 5. The channel is getting top billing "featuring some of the best players, the best teams and the best competitions". Dundee Vs. Kilmarnock and Rangers Vs. Alloa couldn't be further removed :D

Surely that's because they're the Euro qualifiers, rather than the SPFL being considered a European league?

Any idea when the additional SKY channels mentioned in Computer Shopper Aug 2014 are arriving on VM as part of the new deal? Came as a shock when I saw one particular channel mentioned.

July 14th - July 19th:
-Sky Sports 3 HD, Sky Sports 4 HD and Sky Sports F1 HD will launch.
-Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports 2, Sky Sports 3, Sky Sports 4, Sky Sports News, Sky Sports F1, Sky Sports 1 HD and Sky Sports 2 HD will move to new channel numbers.

August 12th:
-Sky Sports 5 and Sky Sports 5 HD will launch on Virgin Media.

TBC:
-Sky Sports News HD and Sky News HD will launch on Virgin Media.

ALL DATES STILL SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
