Fan Zone is on Todays game , highlights , match facts and stats.

It may be with your Sky HD box but it's not on VM.

I think VM will only get FF and CL red button services and NOT individual games.

Hopefully that may change in time..

It would appear that Virgin have secured a watered down version of the red button service. Think true to form Virgin haven't publicised the launch of the red button or what services they have secured.

It appears they forgot the word communication.

Not to be an arse but Fanzone looks pretty inconsequential to me... not much of anything.
Football First/ Match choice is surly the most important aspect of Skys red button functionality and we got that in full... as far as i know there is NO match choice on a Sunday, yes?

I think the main complaint Mobes is VMs lack of communication which has let them down ie most customers were not sure exactly what they would be getting.

And yes Football first imatch choice is available in full which is a good thing for most SS subs.:)

Yes, i appreciate that Richard. As another example, Sky have hailed that they will get getting the HD versions of the UKTV channels. We all knew about that yet had to ask Neil Berkott himself to find out VM customers will ALSO be getting theses channels.

Love VM, hate VM's communication!

I'm very happy for all you Premier League footy watchers with Match Choice etc.

The key thing is going to be when I have seen say cricket over runs and go onto the red button. Or in the case of the cricket World Cup there are games happening at the same time and to access the other games it was the red button.

Still looks to me like we don't have the full proper red button service and just what Virgin are wanting to give us :(

Fair comments... on the UKTV deal though, I think they (VM) couldn't say much as it was part of the negotiations to sell.

As VM were in negotiation with Scripps at the time, making an announcement would have been a very bad move.

Fair enough SP. I do wonder though how it is that being at that point part owner of UKTV and ALSO/THEREFORE in negotioations with Scripps that SKY (nothing to do with either UKTV or sales negotiations) are able to 1) get a deal first 2) therefore able to announce the deal first.

Quite bizarre! Anyhow, makes no odds now I guess...

First off they weren't in negotiations to sell off channels so there is less in the way of them making an announcement . Also I would guess VM had the deal first but just couldn't announce it.

Don't you think that's its possible VM have made the HD versions of the UKTV channels a must have as part of the sale to Scripps?
