Yesterday we were on our desk, BBQ some lamb and beef ribs, drinking wine and listening to my Caribbean playlist on Amazon dot with blue-tooth speaker.

Nice mix of calypso, reggae, mento, steel bands and so on. All good hot weather music.

Went to see Billy Joel at Old Trafford last night - he was tremendous; what a showman.

He didn’t just play his stuff - he and his band jammed on others’ music - snippets of Led Zep, Sabbath, Dire Straits, and others, and a full version of "A Day In The Life" (which got the loudest ovation of the night, it was so well done).

Really enjoyed it.

Yes! I've seen them a couple of times when Cody Willis was second drummer. Just superb.

Dale Crover on the other hand, imho is the greatest metal drummer alive.

BTW Houdini is being re-released on 180gm vinyl in a couple of weeks. That's on my Christmas list.

I am so glad I found the first 1970 AMPEX release,it sounds goregous.... At first I had a 1975 re-issue and it sounded like crap.... THINNED OUT GARBAGE!!!!!

It didnt have dolby either but it sounded horrible...... Its really sad what started happening in the 70s!
