Wanted, pretty good 8/10

BloodRayne - not quite as bad as I was expecting, though I could have done without finding out just how saggy Kristanna Loken really is, some women look better with their clothes on. :(

The extended flashback sequence at the end was both stupid & pointless.

That's another Uwe Boll effort isn't it?

Yeah, hence the low expectations. Having said that, I think it's the first time I've actually seen anything he's been involved with. I can't believe someone actually gave him the money to make not 1, but 2 sequels to it!

District 13: 9/10. It lost 1 point for the subtitles being over the actual picture, instead of in the black bar at the bottom, which made them more difficult to see. That's probably the fault of the channel that showed it [FX], rather than the actual movie though.

If you want to see a really good action movie that isn't all Hollywood special effects, & you don't mind watching a foreign language movie with subtitles [unless you're fluent in French, which I'm not, though I do know enough to have spotted a few errors in the translation], then you should see this movie.

I'm always amazed he gets money to make anything, but IIRC there's some sort of tax thing that helps.

[Googles]

Yup.

The Lost Boys

8/10

Classic 80s comedy-horror vampire movie, with a great 80s soundtrack too.

I loved the first "Mummy" movie, & did quite enjoy the second.

No good if you like you 'Mummy' movies to actually have a 'Mummy' in them :(

All very interesting I am sure but I stand by the mouldy bandages and mumbling some thing about being disturbed if it hasn't got them in the movie, I am not interested :)
