Also its the TiVo GUI thats seen speed increases and improvements. There probably isn't anything different about the Netflix app just yet. Same with the iPlayer app.

Maybe for you Stephen, but I haven't noticed any real speed improvements.

So, the TiVo randomly rebooted earlier, right in the middle of watching a recording. The box then sat around updating for a while eventually presenting me with so much purple. The jury is out on the colour scheme at the moment. The purple on the menu is acceptable, but please, who thought up the deep red progress bar on a lilac background? Lilac is never going to be cool. :p:

Nothing for me this morning. I will probably get mine just before Christmas knowing my luck.

New update here in Teesside, looks nice and modern

---------- Post added at 08:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:05 AM ----------

I'm a little surprised that when you press TV Guide whilst in Home or My Shows the whole screen still goes black for a second

---------- Post added at 08:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:09 AM ----------

The high contrast progress bar is still the old shape with the rounded edges and looks slightly better than the new purple one with red progress line.

Typical of VM not to inform us of the update overnight, not looked at it yet but I will do so later on

Actually it's untypical. On previous roll-outs we have sent a message the day before, but this time we're trying without.

Well I'm central Scotland but no update yet despite both Edinburgh and glasgow supposed to be updated. Connected to castlecary CMTS, when will it be updated?

Since, then, it's slowed down again! Not to the levels previously, but it was a disappointment that some screens take too long to load.

Not sure if this is a fault of the software, signal strength, congestion or what but I hope it improves.

You want to get yourself downgraded to a VHD box, 10 times faster than Tivo...

Uddingston and Falkirk have yet to be done. You are one of those.

I'd guess Falkirk as its closer. I'll keep patiently waiting then.

Seen the new UI in Edinburgh yesterday and I think it's a good improvement personally.

Ha, ha! The TIVO is still a big improvement over the other boxes available IMO. It's only the speed that is the problem, but the advantages outweigh this little disadvantage.
