I'm not sure on the £3 charge. Might be per household.

It would be good to know if it was per box or account. I have 2 V+ boxes and it would be good to know what the increased monthly cost would be if I swoped both for TIVO.

I guess before the Sky premium HD charge per box (not VM's fault I know), we'd have assumed per account.

how long did it take for them to call back?

That and all the marketing and advertising that will begin when officially launched. Also having over 1500 cant be classed as on a national rollout as there are more than 3 million TV customers out there, so very few people have them.

I am not taking any tone with any customer. I am posting in here as me not as a staff member. I am offering you my opinion of the situation.

Could you please check the press release http://pressoffice.virginmedia.com/p...859&highlight=. And tell me that it hasn't launched ?

It clearly says it ha and roll-out starts mid December.

Please stop saying it hasn't, it might be a gradual start to the roll-out to sort out teething trouble etc but it has been launched.........

Quick question that I hope someone can answer. Install is booked for next week and I am keeping the V+ box and having the Tivo instead of one my V HD boxes. I only have the Sky HD sub on the V+ and want it going onto the TiVo, so do I wait for the install and then give VM a call or switch the cards and guess have them re-paired up? Thanks in advance.

Press releases are to keep the share holders happy. Ok, so it's launched to some special people first, less special later, and general public even later. Is that so bad?

They called back four hours later but I guess left to the computer generating the numbers, it could have been sooner or (heaven forbid) a couple days later. I was lucky I guess.

Not at all, but certain members insisting it's not launched is misrepresenting the situation.

Virgin have stated it's launched, they started roll-out as in the press release.

So they have done what they said.

Please can people accept that....

But as some posters on here have stated it only launched in December to 500 staff ;)

A full product launch has not happened yet. Its still a soft launch or pre-launch at the moment. As I stated its not a full release until anyone can order it from a VM store or calling up to order it, and the marketing fully begins.

How can it have launched and not launched at the same time:confused:

Are you saying Virgin have misrepresented the situation by tell the press it's launched when it hasn't ?

They always said full availability for new customers would be April.

They never gave info about schedule except those who registered would get it before.

ITS LAUNCHED......

I don't think all installers have received training yet , I spoke to one near me and he knew about TIVO but had not been trained on it.

He might not be, but I certainly am.

Back when the TiVo deal was first signed, VM told everyone it would be available late 2010.

It's not "available" even now, but a quick press release to the contrary in December 2010 should cover their backs and keep the press and investors happy.

You can't get it now unless you get called up for a special early bird offer, at a discounted rate, not the £199 + £40 expressed on the press release. That's what I accept.

Today is February 10th and VM want to give all existing customers TIVO before new customers in April that's not a long time to complete all these calls and get install dates booked.

I said its a pre launch. Which means its not fully released.

As was mentioned earlier if it wasn't for this or other forums and the web you wouldn't know a thing about this special offer.
