Sometimes, you'll be driving along a B road in Springtime and you'll spot a random cluster of daffodils in the verge.

It's the cutting out of the dead wood that takes time - and you need to be careful how you trim the edges, otherwise it ends up looking like a Brazilian....

Speaking of ops, I've just found my op online as I gave consent for it to be used. As it was a new kind of procedure. They've also included it into the Medical Journal. Is it quite a surreal thing seeing your own insides being operated on....

Very glad he had the good sense to use an RCD / Leakage breaker plug. So many risk it but it's essential to avoid nasty accidents especially if using a pressure washer. Electricity and water is a lethal combination.

Thank you everyone. Been working towards these operations for months, Getting my immune system calmed down was a right pain in the bum but the hassle now seems worth all the effort my Team put in.

I think being operated on with hedge trimmers is surreal and definitely worthy of being included in any journal

I've never seen my footy team ever promoted before.
I've seen them play in Europe (and lose badly on the away leg), seen them handsomely beat teams so much bigger than mine is. Lift the FA cup once and seen our arch rivals demote us. Followed them to some places I would have never thought to have visited and came away glad to have visited. And seen them relegated over and over again... but not this year. I think I might be loyal and tenacious :D

Better make that four months to heal then if you're going to get through that lot. Glad you're home.

We also plan to have a small family get together the week after in where this will be a joint celebration (Graduation/New Job party) in where we will raise a glass to absent loved ones.

My niece has just finished her 1st year A levels, so while waiting to start the 2nd year she is planning her University.

Yesterday she went to an open day at The Royal Holloway University in Windor, which is the 6th best.

She really likes it, the down side is it is a 3 year degree, plus a 4th for a masters, so it will currently cost £9,250 a year + £5,500 for accomodation a year

My Bug-A-Salt 2.0 gun has arrived. If I can get a few minutes this afternoon some target practice is called for to get my eye in. :)

The instructions suggest getting some foil and marking on targets spots with a marker and then shooting them to see how the shot (salt) scatters.

So managed to get a week off in Switzerland, enjoyed my daughter's birthday over the weekend and mine coming up this week... Oh and the pope is visiting the airport that I am flying out of, on my birthday, within 10 minutes of my flight:

https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/n...programme.html

Quote:

Concluding the visit in the early evening, the Pope will celebrate Mass at the large Palexpo convention centre close to the city’s airport from which he will return to Rome at 8pm.
I literally cannot fly home without passing him cebrating mass. I am a Roman catholic (baptized and confirmed) but even my ego takes a boost at the thought of the pope giving me a blessing, on my birthday with no way of me even being able to avoid him.

I have reason to be happy. (Though it will certainly be congested flying back). It will be worth it for the holy father.

Will be wonderful for you, ,so pleased for you ;)

Probably but spiders help get rid of insects so they're really or friends.

Especially when they're in the bath, and they've used up all the hot water

This week has been so wonderful for my family and I could not be happier for my son and his fiancée in whom has stood by him during his years of study and now they both can reap the benefit.

Well, yesterday was one word fantastic and I could not be more proud of him as a Mother all you want is for your child to succeed and he certainly has that.

All his Dad and I have ever wished for him he has IMO a fantastic job, lovely new home getting built for them to call home and truly wonderful woman in his fiancée by his side.

On Monday my son and his lovely fiancée bought there forever home, I'm so lucky that they included in this as I got a call saying come here Mum and off the plans they asked me what one would I go for and the reasons why I must say it was all very exciting. The house they bought should be ready in October/November time.

Congratulations weenie.

Finally home after a pressured 3 day away trip with work. Started on a high, Tuesday was a real low because of a massive argument between me and someone, then ended on a high as we finally sat down and told each other everything that annoys us about each other. Things were so much better after that. Now, to eat and then go to sleep in my own bed.
