And? In a thread entitled 'Coming Soon to Virgin TV' you've mentioned that a channel that no-one can watch may be leaving.

A channel/s could launch shortly afterwards or it will be on interactive/on demand stream

Or it could be purely for testing something and nothing will become of it.

Any news from insiders about Sky News HD and Sky Sports News HD

Personal opinion here, but I doubt they will launch on cable. I'd imagine Berkett would say something like "why should we pay for them when the SD channels are mostly studio based and good quality and wouldn't benefit from HD," or something like that.

For all we know Virgin Media's deal with Sky to get Sky Movies Classics HD might include Sky News HD, Sky Sports News HD
and maybe even Sky Atlantic HD

Any news on what BBC and Virgin are doing on the 3D front for the Olympics next summers. They must have started planning or is it going to be Sky exclusive as usual? I would imagine that they would have to start testing in the next 3-4months!

They don't need to test anything. The BBC broadcast Wimbledon in 3D this summer on the BBC HD channel. So if the Olympics will be in 3D too it will probably be on the same channel.

The BBC cannot withhold , Wimbledon 3D was available to Sky , VM , Freesat and Freeview HD customers.

There has been comments about 3D channels coming to VM, its hard enough getting HD channels, so 3D is a long way off.

VM has plenty of 3D content in VOD. There is no need for a linear channel at the moment.

There are 3D movies, free 3D for XL TV customers, Discovery 3D content and recently added was extreme sports in 3D.

Earlier in the summer the BBC broadcast the Wimbledon finals in 3D and Eurosport had the Roland Garos in 3D.

Sounds like plenty of 3D to me :-)

Also there are almost 30 HD channels now, so stop complaining that there is no content.
