Re: TV360

Hi iadom

The main box with the hard drive buffers for around 3 hours.
The mini box only pauses for around 2 minutes since it doesn't have a hard drive, so if you want to pause a program on there and continue watching it then you need to record it.
.

To watch a paused program - Select the program on the main box and press Record.
On the mini box go to the Home page and then scroll down to the Continue Watching rail and select the program you have just set to record and press OK.

Thanks for reply, TBH I had forgot about the 'mini' boxes. We have two full blown TV360's at home so can pause both for long periods, never left it three hours yet.;)

I will contact him and see if he has a main/mini box combination.

Quick question about TV360 boxes. We have two and if we pause a live broadcast it seems to stay paused for quite a long time, never timed it but have never seen it switch back to live TV after say 20 or 30 minutes.
I have just been down to my brothers in Woking Surrey and he also has two boxes but is not able to pause live broadcasts for more than a few minutes.

Is this due to storage issues on the hard drives or are there different types of boxes/software?

Is there a maximum time that you can leave the box on pause?

The mini slave boxes will only do a few minutes. Best to hit record if you think you need longer.

Still no way to undo deletions? Mum accidentally deleted a folder of recorded shows.

Can you still Multiroom with TV 360.

I seen an story on internet months ago that Virgin no longer allow this.

Just asking.

I have two boxes. I think now that they'll install stream boxes for multi room purposes unless you already have the cabling.

I don't think it will ever appear. There is no recycle bin on the Horizon cloud system in Europe, so it would need re-coding of the core firmware both at the server end & the boxes. V360 is looking more like a stop-gap system funneling customers into Stream where everyone will eventually end up.

Hi everyone, it's getting near the time to get the New Remote Control and lose all my recordings, I have about 10 recordings I really don't want to lose, like ;Tony Hancock, Is there really no way to record these programs onto another recorder, perhaps by the SCSI Adapter, I was hoping for some clever techs out there. Forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place.

Are they not available on demand?

If you are already on the V6 box you don't need to upgrade. The are just trying to get people to move over to the new box to make things easier for them and not you. Don't click on anything to start upgrading and you can stay on the V6.

If you've got one of the old tivo boxes (not V6), it is possible via the scart output.
Otherwise say goodbye to your recordings...

I seem to remember that the scart output was copy protected. HDMI output is copy protected with HDCP.
