Latest update on Twitter from Bon Nation regarding the channel launching on Virgin:

"...it will be on Virgin - just wait for official date to be confirmed - hopefully soon!"

Re: BoxNation on Virgin Media?

I have feeling it might launch in November along with ITV 2,3,4 HD channels
and also when the Tivo update is fully rolled out in November with the BBC and Sky Sports Red button.

Well I've got to give it to you John, you did see it coming!

Latest info from BoxNation on Twitter:

"When it comes to Virgin it will be £10 a month"

So we now know for sure it's not going into the XL package.

I've also went back and watched the launch press conference again. Richard Brooke, the chairman of BoxNation, confirmed the channel would only be free for the first month or so. BoxNation have confirmed that all future online broadcasts will be subscription based. BoxNation also confirmed that it's unlikely that the channel will have a freeview period on Virgin, unless they are on Virgin very soon.

I think they are going to subscription sooner than suggested. I think they will be subscription based if not before Burns Vs. Katsidis on the 05th November then certainly before Cotto Vs. Margarito II on the 03rd December 2011.

Re: BoxNation on Virgin Media?

More boxing tonight free online from BoxNation:

http://www.boxnation.tv/

From 7pm live from Germany exciting, but clumsy, Marko Huck defends his WBO Cruiserweight Title against unfancied Argentien Rogelio Omar Rossi. Should be plenty of undercard action.

Then from the small hours of the morning it's a real treat as Nonito Donaire defends his WBC & WBO Bantamweight Titles against the undefeated former Flyweight and Super Flyweight champ Omar Andres Narvaez.

If you can't watch the fight from Germany, Donaire Vs. Narvaez is a must. Should be a battle. Expect Donaire to win by K.O! Seeing the fight is live from New york, I expect the programme to be on at 2:00am.

It'll be a good card but not worth £15 especially when it's being provided by Primetime. Bought some of their PPV shows before and felt it was all a bit amateur.

Hopefully both Boxnation and SKY get their act together, snapping up all good boxing content, putting an end to Primetime Live and their boxing PPV.

Yes it is certainly not worth that and l agree that Primetime is very amateurish at times.
