I don't usually post outright rumours but Anelka to Spurs seems to keep cropping up a lot lately. Doesn't mean it will happen but we appear to be trying. So Gallas might not be the only French ex-Chelsea, ex-Arsenal player who might be coming to Spurs. Suddenly him recommending us for the title doesn't seem too odd now.

I do stress this is a rumour though. Nothing solid just yet.

Surely Chelsea can't afford to get rid of a striker, if anything they need to add one to the squad.

Yeah but Anelka isn't young. And he's probably on stupid wages. Chelsea can have the pick of strikers in the world at the moment.

Mark Hughes has suggested that Arsenal may have been trying to intentionally unsettle Mark Schwarzer by repeating an offer for the goalkeeper that had already been turned down. The Fulham manager acknowledged Schwarzer had been distracted by the bids, both worth £2m, but remains hopeful that Fulham can keep hold of the player.
Quiet Hughes. First of all Arsenal have not made bids public or talked in public after this transfer both bids were confirmed by Fulham both times and not Arsenal.

Not only that but if Hughes is really bothered by 'unsettling players' should really examine his behaviour when signing Lescott last season amongst many others.

Hypocritical prat.

Being a Spurs supporter for over 30 years, l welcome Gallas to the Lane, he might have been a Arsenal player, but if he can do the stuff for us and get us winning big games and also stuff Arsenal, then l am all for it. Its when players leave us for the Arsenal, thats when l get angry, like Campbell, he claimed "it was a better club" he said.

Come off it Arthur, Pat Jennings when to Arsenal and always has been and always will be a legend. He even went back to the club afterwards.

The problem with Campbell was we made him the player he became and then denied us the £20m+ he was worth. The fact he deliberately put off signing a contract but saying he wasn't going to leave and then signed for Arsenal for free was the problem. If he was honest about leaving and we got a fair price then there wouldn't have been a problem. But then they money-grabbing so-and-so wouldn't have got his big signing-on bonus.

Back to Gallas though I don't know of anyone who has a problem with him being ex-Arsenal or ex-Chelsea. That's a media invention to show Spurs up to be stupidly fickle. The only ones I know do know don't want Gallas is because like Bellamy he's a toxic personality. And they've got a point, he is. But if he a can do a job for us (and he probably can) then he's welcome.

Also worth noting there was a similar reaction when we bough Woodgate after his previous nocternal indescretions but kept his head down, played well and is now a fan favourite. I think Redknapp has a point - a team of gentlemen won't win anything. Maybe you need a couple of *******s.

I don't think there's any chance we can hang on to Bale next season. He's been amazing so far.

Check out MOTD or 101greatgoals.com for his 2nd goal, absolutely top draw.

Walcott!

Was at the Arsenal game today, Walcott's crossing, pace, touch was all excellent! Hopefully he has gotten over that poor form he had last season.

I was at the game too, first one in a while. Great match, it could so easily have been double the amount of goals though.

Which stand where you at? I was in the lower tier of the new clock end so had that massive red banner over me at the start! :D The Blackpool fans were loud and up for it, credit to them. They never stopped singing.

As for goals, I was behind the end Arsenal attacked in the first half and it's not until your close when you see just how good some saves are. Their keeper stopped two great chances with pure reaction shots.

Yeh Yeh ;)

The lower tier sings but not with the same length and passion as some fans. Popular songs today involved 'you won't play here again' and 'We've Got Cesc Fabagas' :D

Upper tier, East stand. Though i pretty much missed the clock end unveiling! I just caught the very end.

Blackpool seemed a little awestruck, plus they were down to ten men for most of the match, something you Arsenal fans have failed to mention, however, a good result for you.

Not sure I agree with Wenger about Scholes having a dark side, maybe he needs to look at himself
