I've noticed SKY are advertising that next years Champions League games are being shown on SKY Sports 2 & SKY Sports 4. Sneaky!

Why on earth is that sneaky ? SS1,2,3 & 4 are all available to VM.

Sky have always used SS2 as their main Champions League coverage channel...and they use other channels and/or the red button for coverage of other games that have less interest for the masses.......if Sky, or any other broadcaster have spent their money buying the rights, they are at liberty to show them on what channel(s) they want to suit their commercial goals.

I assume you are coming from a HD perspective ???

As far as I remember Champions League was on Sky Sports 2 and Sky Sports Extra this season, and as Sky Sports 4 is what Sky Sports Extra was I can see no change. I seem to recall on Champions League nights that Sky Sports 1 would normally have Gillette Soccer Special on

Local ITV1 HD launches on Thursday???

Digital Spy Forums is reporting that ITV1 HD is moving out of London from Thursday (June 3rd)

The following ITV1 HD Channels will appear on Channel 113 in your area.

ITV1 HD Central
ITV1 HD Granada/Border
ITV1 HD Meridian/Anglia
ITV1 HD Wales/West
ITV1 HD Yorkshire/Tyne Tees

STVHD is due to launch on June 11th which is of course the day the World Cup Starts.

Gems TV 2 to close on Virgin TV?

The ofcom has posted on their web site that Gems TV have sold their Sky EPG Channel for Gems TV 2 to TLCS Hgems TV (UK) Limited.

I understand that cost is a big factor, but anyone with half a brain would know that HD was "Coming Soon";)

Utv plc is not a small co. and have been going from 1959.
