Probably because the law states that you can't have blue, green or Red lights or reflectors on a vehicle other than an emergency vehicle (Red is OK only on the rear or rear facing)

Been through this argument so many times on the bike forums..

Why do people assume the worst? who's to say that they were only put in the car for the benefit of the video before he put them on his little kids hummer? it was even done on his own driveway.

We all know that such a complex wiring job as that would take time to fit to any vehicle especially as Kymmy points out about his lights being wired to flash alternately just like an emergency vehicle.

As his number plate is common knowledge now he may find that he has suddenly become popular with the local police.

If he was seen driving down the road with them on he would be stopped and arrested and very likely taken to cort and fined possibly with a suspended sentence so not a good thing to fit to his car and possibly points on his licence or a ban.

Actually, I know exactly how she feels because many, many years ago something similar happened to me. I was in a mad rush on my way into London one morning and got off the train at Charing Cross only to find a huge crowd struggling to leave the station. A large area of the concourse had been cordoned off with tape due to a large puddle caused by a combination of a leaking roof and heavy rain. Being the impetuous young man that I was, I decided that queueing was for softies and old people so I simply hopped over the tape to take my chances with a puddle I reckoned couldn't have been more that an inch deep. Whoosh... my feet immediately went from under me and I was left floundering in a pool of very dirty water right in front of a massive audience. I suspect one or two of them were thinking something along the lines of "there is a god!" but I can't be sure..... :D
