I've just read in the Tivo thread a quote from the official VM forum and the final point states how they have dealt with the roll out.

It says 1000 VIP's, 1000 XL's and then the series 1 users.
So my question is are the 1000 VIP's the people who received the remotes? If not then that's another group of people.

I guess it looks like now I will be waiting for that email in a few weeks and see what they are going to charge the remaining VIP's.
Also waiting to see if they sort my bill out at the end of the month after being charged £20 wrongly for a upgrade to 50Mb and a charge of £7 for the HD's even though I was a VIP50.

I have a feeling a combo of my bill being wrong and a email about the charge for Tivo will combine for not a nice phone call for some offshore person

I have just received a response from a Stephen O'Donoghue at the E-Contact Team – must confess a quicker response that I expected. Apparently he has been trying, unsuccessfully, to contact me by telephone – not sure why he has been unsuccessful as the number I gave him was my mobile and it’s been sitting beside me fully charged since I contacted customer services. The only call I have made or received in the last 24 hours was a call on my mobile from a family member at 9:11 pm last night and there are no missed calls on my mobile or landlines.

His response was “…I’m sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the cost of your package. I have reviewed your account and can confirm that your package is as agreed in your call on 3rd March 2011 and as detailed in the contract we sent on 4th March 2011.

As a gesture of goodwill I have applied a credit of £40.00 to your account to cover the installation charge, you’ll see this on page 3 of your March statement...”

The goodwill gesture is appreciated and with the six month discount of £12.25 per month results in a net saving of about £1 over the 18 month term of the contract on what should be the price of the VIP 50 package with a V+ HD Box instead of the standard V HD box second box. However, I am not looking to make money, I just want to get the price right. Stephen O'Donoghue didn’t respond to my request to clarify why I am being charged £116.80 rather than £110.55 and I am even beginning to doubt whether I have been put on the VIP 50 package at all (there is nothing about it in the contract).

As I said in an earlier post, I don’t want to go down the telephone route again as that invariably leads to a ”…the price isn’t correct/yes it is…” debate that I can’t win, but I am quite happy to email or write. Is there any way I can get my query directed to someone who knows the correct price of the package or is there a code for the package that I can quote that will lead them to the correct price?

I’m really getting frustrated with this.

Thanks

So based on what you have said that contradicts what DF has said in that the VIP's didn't get a raffle ticket and were automatically added to a raffle.

I can wait frustratingly for another 3 weeks until the end of the month which is when we should be hearing about how to get our own Tivo and the promised VIP relaunch.
If both of those don't happen then I will be in touch with Mr Burkett and his team.

Thanks for the info though as trying to see if their is any pattern happening here but there doesn't seem to be any kind of logic used.

Any news of the promised new VIP packages.......

I expect this thread to fire up again at the end of next week when Q1 ends and VIP's have no new info about the promised new VIP bundles as you mention.

I'm hoping they will pleasantly surprise us with at least some news of some sorts but I doubt it.

Cozzy 22-03-2011 11:34

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

I suspect the "announcement" will actually be an offer to upgrade to tivo at a reduced rate ....

I would expect nothing less as VIP stands for Very Impressive Package and that must include tivo if they are staking their future on that product and calling it the top package

I hope they offer VIP free upgrades but i doubt we will get it with a much better offer than the previous £149 + free installation and for those that dont take up the tivo offer i suspect it will be stay as it is.

I dont actually think the VIP revamp will amount to much more than the VIP50 deal is now unless you go for the VIPTiVo if it ever gets launched

BenJSmyth 22-03-2011 11:38

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

My opinion of the VIP package revamp should be that the £3 Tivo charge should be included as extra discount on the VIP50.

I know some people will say that this £3 is a fee for Tivo, however the £7 Sky HD premium is for Sky but it is included in the VIP50. I think £100.55 for the current VIP50 line up but to include the Tivo fee is a reasonable expectation. How they would handle upfront box prices would be another matter. Personally, I think it should be the £149 with free install for VIP50 subscribers.

That is my take on it anyway, I think that would be fair for both sides.

well I for one cannot afford nor willing to part with £149 but I am happy with my V+ PVR so there I will stay until it is incorporated into the bundle eventually.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

I'd be happy if a VIP100 package was made available which includes Tivo, SKY Premium HD and 100mb broadband. I'd happily pay between £110 and £115 per month for this but wouldn't want to pay any install fees or equipment charges. I'd happily sign a 24 month agreement for this as long as there are no up front fees.

Personally I don't think Virgin are going to be coming up with any ground breaking packages any time soon. I've been following this thread since day 1; things have been way too quiet for way too long. When this thread started Virgin were being hit with wave upon wave of disgruntled telephone calls and e-mails. They had to say something to calm customers down.

All I can say is prove me wrong Virgin, and keep to your word!

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

I would have thought no new new VIP package would be announced until the current customer pricing for TIVO is released.

This is looking like the the end of March as people have been invited to a launch party (according to a post on the forums).

So, I'd expect end of March, beginning of April for some news.

I'd be surprised if they introduced a VIP100 package whilst the 100mb service is still only available to a select few. In fact, if they release a VIP100 package with Tivo incorporated and is not available to the whole cable network, I would expect some unimpressed customers - perhaps then the VUP100 package ;)

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

Problem is according to the TIVO thread, we should be receiving an offer within "days", which at a guess will be £149, no installation and £3.00 a month.

How likely is it if we agree to this additional cost that VM will then cancel it with a new VIP50 package ?

Yes you could say that or if you look at it in a different way, it has got everybody talking about it and most likely got them mentioning it to their friends. So in my opinion it could be a good thing for VM but not the customers who registered :erm:

Totally agree. Virgin will be delighted that Tivo isn't just being ignored. Almost everyone on this forum has an opinion be it positive or negative. The very worst case scenario would have been nobody talking about it.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

I have read nearly every post on this thread in the months since I came across it, and thought that I just about had my head around the way the prices worked untill now.

I am/was on VIP20 with HD sub (£7) and my bill has now increased to £102.55 as the CEO discount has now expired. After what folk have said on here and what I have seen myself on the Virgin website I decided to upgrade to VIP50 to save myself a couple of quid (£100.55 for what I've already got plus faster broadband and 2nd HD box.)

Now for the shocker (and I'm not complaining), I was quoted £97.40 per month for VIP50 with free installation. I confirmed the price twice and also confirmed contract term (12 months).

Just wondering if anyone else has had this offer. I took the offer BTW.

The certainly shouldn't be. The offer system has the new price so that's what they should be using to advise

The actual main billing system may show the old price, if the area that the customer in hasn't started full April bill period i.e. it's still generating bills where the pre-April price applies

I've just received my latest bill, so will probably be 2 months before I get a bill only reflecting the new contract, so will be interesting to see. The guy on the phone insisted it wasn't an introductory offer and was for the full 12 months.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

Sent my email to Neil Burkett as Q1 has now finished and not a sniff of a VIP announcement. Also added unhappy about the great deal for Tivo VIP's have.......not.

I have a S1 Tivo but didn't register my details with the external non Virgin website as I thought as I am VIP that would be better than going on that list surely?
They get first offer which again I don't have an issue with for the price of £149 + £3 monthly. No install charge.
Then some VIP50's won a free Tivo by getting a remote through the post. Well done them. Fine by me. Lucky them.

Then XL people get a raffle with the chance to win one of 1000. This is where they started to wind me up. I have had no chance of entering a raffle to win one but I spend twice as much money as the people I know entered the raffle.

Then the grep Prereg offer is £149 (which is what Tivo S1 owners paid) plus the £40 install. I would have thought VIP's would have at least got the £3 a month included in their bundle.

Even as a VIP I would have paid the £149 but not with the £40 and I have told Neil as much and asked what is happening with the VIP package.
Will let you know what reply I get if any.

Before anyone comes on and says but VIP were put into a raffle etc then if this was the case why didn't they just tell us like the XL tv people? I have yet to see any evidence that VIP people were in any sort of raffle.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

I sent a email to neil berkett as well yesterday about the TIVO install price. I am also a VIP50 customer and have been for many months so this announcement is certainly a kick in the teeth. It will be interesting to see if the reply is the standard email to say that you have to pay the install or nothing, it will be nothing in my case.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

I havent yet emailed the CEO's office but i plan to sometime this weekend ...

The lack of any announcement on new VIP is poor (an understatement) at the very least and shows VM consider other things more important than its current customers.

The TiVo offer is nothing less than an insult IMHO and is substantially less than a 'Special Offer' for existing customers let along those of us on VIP deals.

VM clearly lost the plot and have gone for the money instead of the enhanced reputation a proper offer would have brought them.

The lack of any new deal for VIP has me considering returning to the Sly side and the new 12 month contract they made us sign last year is IMO now void as they have failed to deliver a new deal for VIPers as promised.

All in my opinion so you can agree or disagree its your choice but I may well vote with my feet and my money to elsewhere.

I think the main thing stopping me is the 2 tuners that Sky Plus has. We really use 3 tuners in my household.

Depends who you get on the other end of the phone it seems. I went round and round in circles when I upgraded to VIP50 trying to get the second box replaced as a VHD box. They just kept saying you already have a second box etc just totally missing the point.
I just said I knew they were wrong but I was getting nowhere so I will wait until Tivo.
Based on the announcement that maybe a little longer than I was first thinking or could be close to binning them off completely.

Also my email to Neil I first put Dear Neil (or should I say Dean) but thought to keep it professional I bottled it and took that in brackets out. :D

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

So here is my what seems to be a copy and paste reply I received at 6:45am today

Thank you for reaching out to us, we always appreciate receiving feedback from our customers. Thank you also for your specific interest in our new Tivo product, and for taking the time to pre-register online.

Please also allow me to clarify a few points for you in response to your email:

1 The Tivo promotion that you are referring to was a limited prize draw for 1000 customers. The winners were randomly selected, subject to the qualification criteria. Winners needed to be tenured customers (ie 4 months or over), and had to be VIPs or TV XL triples.

2 Please let me assure you that we have given a lot of thought to how we price Tivo to our customer base, and we are delighted to be able to offer our 1Tb Tivo box to our customers for £50 less than new customers will be paying. Tivo is a premium product with some ground breaking functionality and worth every penny! However, I fully appreciate that this offer may not be for you. We will be coming out with a lower priced box late Spring, and you may decide to wait until then to place your order.

3 As you have registered your interest in Tivo online, we will shortly be emailing you to let you know that our pre-sale window for the 1Tb box is open, during which you can order Tivo in advance of it going on sale to new customers. At that time, we will also be communicating some special offers available only to our existing customers, including our VIP customers.

Whichever offer you take advantage of, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks again for your email and best regards,

Cindy

So even though my email ended with this final paragraph :-
So as it stands I will not be taking Virgin up on this 'little thank you' exclusive price but would like to know what is happening with the new and improved VIP package as Q1 has now passed and still nothing has changed apart from the package looking less and less attractive.

Absoloutely no comment on the VIP bundles changing which is a bit worrying to say the least.

My comments about point 1. In her reply are which promotion is she particuarly speaking of? I mentioned the raffle promotion, the remote promotion, the original Tivo owners promotion......
If she is saying the raffle with the issued raffle tickets included VIP's also then why were we not told? Also does not agree with what other staff members have said.

2 - Not budging on the price even though I said VIP's were being treated just the same as people who could be paying loads less a month. Also in my email I explained I was a S1 Tivo owner (and still am) but never completed my details in a website that was external to VM as I mistakingly thought VIPs would be treated better then some original Tivo Owners. No comment about that though.

3 - This is where it seems she has not even read my email as she says they will me emailing me (and Dean) shortly about the pre sale event!!! What you mean the one I mention for half of the email about how sending a wrongly named email about a premium product is just poor and is the reason I contacted them in the first place as the pricing for VIP's is excessive????
Why tell me I am going to be emailed about something I have said I have been emailed about already.

Will be interested to hear if anyone else emailing recently has got the same reply.
Doesn't change my stance on this one bit and if anything is making me more tempted to go to the darkside.

Think you are right about the copy and paste I received the same email at about the same time. I wont be taking them up on their offer unless they come up with somthing more substantial to us vip50 customers.
I`ve had a good think about all this Tivo this weekend and as I`ve got only a certain amount of money free to spend I decided to spend it on a playon network streamer instead.

Reply in response to my e-mail
No mention of new VIP package, but the comment regarding special offers could be interesting ?

Thank you for reaching out to us, we always appreciate receiving feedback from our customers. Thank you also for your specific interest in our new Tivo product, and for taking the time to pre-register online.

Firstly, please allow me to sincerely apologise for the use of the wrong name on the email. This was an unfortunate case of human error, and I am genuinely sorry if it caused offense. We have now corrected the emails, but clearly this did not happen quickly enough!

Please let me assure you that we have given a lot of thought to how we price Tivo to our customer base, and we are delighted to be able to offer our 1Tb Tivo box to our customers for £50 less than new customers will be paying. Tivo is a premium product with some ground breaking functionality and worth every penny! However, I fully appreciate that this offer may not be for you. We will be coming out with a lower priced box late Spring, and you may decide to wait until then to place your order.

As you have pre-registered your interest in Tivo online, we will shortly be emailing you to let you know that our pre-sale window for the 1Tb box is open, during which you can order Tivo in advance of it going on sale to new customers. At that time, we will also be communicating some special offers available only to our existing customers, including our VIP customers.

Whichever offer you take advantage of, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks again for your email and best regards,

Cindy

do you really expect a director to answer every single customer e-mail? They are busy doing their job and she will have written an email for similar queries such as yours.

I wouldn't mind a copy and paste of 'we are no longer looking at the VIP packages' as it would at least answer my main question but she didn't even mention it in any of the standard answers.
I won't hold my breath for the special offers but hopefully when they finally do arrive I will not be disappointed.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

IMHO ... generic or not reply ... this reply is simply not good enough and does not even address the concerns raised regarding VIP package revamp.

If your reading this VM .. IT ISNT GOOD ENOUGH .. you have had more than enough time to get new package offers sorted and advertised.

What you did last year with the introduction of VIP50 and free HD inclusion was a good start but it has not covered the major concern that the VIP packages are constantly falling behind and never updated with the introduction of new technologies such as faster broadband and new set top boxes.

If you dont do something very soon this customer for one will be voteing with his pocket and feet and taking my business elsewhere.

:td::td::td::td::td::td::td::td::td::td: all thumbs down out of 10 for VM

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

If virgin don't offer VIP 50's a better deal with TiVo I'm afraid I will be taking my tv viewing back to Sky. Sky have offered me half price subs for a year and a 1TB box for £149.99 with a self install, I don't mind paying my current sub to Virgin as long as they show me they value my custom. If not I'll move, simple as. I don't hold loyalty to any provider and will go the way which is best for my wallet. I would miss VOD but as I have a PS3 I can stream most of of the catch up that I watch anyhow, plus if I get Sky I can use my magic eye again that I previously used.

I'll make up my mind on the 11th but I hope Virgin comes up with a better offer for their supposed number one customers!

some of you will get an email to book online and some will be directed to a special pre-sales orderline, this is because some of you have complicated billing arrangements! :)

Install is free in April, so you are getting that knocked off.

VIP's (50 & 100 only)are getting the TiVo monthly charge waived. It will appear on the bill, but you will get a bigger discount to cover.

now stop moaning!!!!! :D

There is also more deals around additonal outlets, but you'll need to speak to sales or see this in the ordering process online :)

Just had my first bill as a VIP50 customer

This shows the additional £7.00 for SkyHD which I thought that was waived for VIP50.

Was it only for a fixed period, or is it included in the murky black hole that is Discounts??
Total Bill (for the month only was £109.45, included 1 additional V+HD box and caller display)?

Should this reduce with a Tivo box replacing one of the existing V+HD boxes
Many thanks

I have been on VIP50 for a few years now and note from Virgin website that this includes V+ HD Box, plus an extra V HD box! Silly question can someone confirm that the extra V HD box is able to broadcast HD programes?!!!!

I only ask because I have V+ HD Box but 2nd box is normal cable box, am I not entitled to have the V HD Box?

Yes, if you want it.

The package change wasn't retrospective, but you can swap the SD box for the V HD if you want. There would be a £20 Delivery fee to do so

or will the V+ be taken away?

You tell the call center which box you want removed, from experience the call centre usually picks the oldest box to be removed

As far as I know you can use your existing V+ to replace an existing SD box at no extra charge. I am in the same situation as you, so when I get the TiVo I will be doing that.

An interesting decision for me then. I have a V-HD in the bedroom and the SA V+ in the living room. To be honest I think I'm probably better off keeping the V-HD on the 2nd box as I think the SA is on its last legs. Is the V-HD likely to be able to view the recordings on the TIVO long term?

Hi. I am currently on VIP 20. I pre-registered for TIVO and received the same email as everyone else last week. Could someone tell me if I upgrade to VIP 50 when I order the TIVO, will I get the £3 a month charge waived, or is it just people who are currently on VIP 50 or 100 who will get it waived each month? I also want to change my SD box that I have in another room, to the V+ box I currently have so hopefully that can be done with no extra charge? Thanks.

Pretty sure it's going to be if you are on VIP50 the £3 discount is added to take into account the Tivo fee.
Don't think it will matter when you became a VIP50 it will just be in the package.

Just got a flyer through the door today telling me that I can get 65 channels and 30mb broadband for £20 a month(£25 a month after 6 months). So if you add on £28 for movies and sports and then £10 for the extra box I have..........I dont think that 50mb broadband is worth £30 extra a month. Considering I only get about 30mb in the first place and its still rapid!!! I know these are only rough calculations but what are we actually paying for as VIP customers????? This package isnt very impressive at all!!!!

that 20 quid include line rental on the phone ?as VIP includes phone as well which you fail to make any mention of

65 channels = M+ TV, VIP has XL TV, which is £18 a month more.
That package also has no phone package, so add on £8 for talk unlimited which is included in VIP.
As pointed out above, you're also forgetting the line rental of £13.
So, you can take the £25 a month, add on your £38, then another £38, oh, and £7 for sky premium HD as well, and you're up to what? £109.
That then makes the bundle the same as VIP50 but with 30meg, and to go from that to VIP50 you'd SAVE £9 a month.

So the answer to your question of what we're paying for is, a hell of a lot more than what is in the bundle you're comparing it to.

I'm a bit confused about what the VIP package is exactly. I have XL TV, XL phone and XXL broadband. Does this constitute the VIP package? I've never heard it refered to by this name on my bills. I'd be grateful if a VM staffer can clear this up for me. Thanks.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

Hi there, I have pre-registered for the VM TiVo and am eagerly awaiting the launch, but feel that I will be required to pay the full £149 for the box + £40 installation. Even though the package I have amounts to over £70 per month, without Sky Sports and Movies.

I have XL TV, XL Broadband (20meg), XL Phone including Talk Mobile and International. I also have the V+ HD box and a second standard V box, I signed up for this package back in June 2008 after a flyer came through the door but only recently found out that I was being charged £10 per month for the use of the V+ Box, so was wondering if anyone can shed any light on what I might have to pay for the privilege of s TiVo box.

BenMcr 08-04-2011 16:47

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

Sounds like you have XL Plus. It's basically VIP without Sports and Movies.

The £10 V+ fee is taken into account within the bundle price so you aren't actually paying it

There has been no mention of XL Plus in any no TiVo fee offer, so it's likely the bundle price would raise £3 a month

I'm on VIP50 with 2 V+HD boxes with Movies, Sports, and 1 box enabled for HD.
Having Tivo installed on the 20th, which will replace one of the V+ boxes.
Giving me Tivo plus 1 V+
Could someone confirm what I should be paying per month ?

Er, I think it would be £107.55 as I think they are also getting rid of the £10 V+ HD fee on VIP as part of the changes with TiVo

If not it would be £117.55 (which is what you should be paying now)

I have just booked my upgrade to the TIVO 1TB on the VIP50 being done on 13/4/10

I currently have the VIP 20 package with an additional V+ box and the HD movies on my main HDD box this is costing me £112 per month .

The new set up is costing

Activation £149.99
Monthly payment £115.00

This include the instalation, the resitiing of my old VIP HDD box as my second box and the removal of my existing second V+ box.

My Modem is being replaced as well to give the 50mb connection also included in the above costs.

I also confirmed that my contract is not extended to a new one so is still a 30 day rolling contract and not a new 12 month or 18 month contract .

My phone number , email account, addresses and services will not be changing except for the faster Broadband connection .

Just looked at the small print on the email I received and it says on the bottom that there will be a £30 one off activation charge for upgrading from 20mb to 50mb, so I assume I'll have to pay £179.95 total activation fees.

---------- Post added at 17:55 ---------- Previous post was at 17:36 ----------

So i presume the wording can be read as " upto but not including 20MB " from what i was told by the person who handled my upgrade as she did ask me to hold while she checked it all and my question about the contract not being renewed and remaining on a 30day rolling contract and not a new 12 month one .

Maybe one of the nice Virgin Media staff who post on these forums can clarify that if we are upgrading from VIP20 to VIP50 whether we do or don't have to pay the £30 additional charge along with the £149.95 TIVO activation charge. Much appreciated, thank you.

Virgin TIVO email says in the small print "One off £30 activation fee applies if upgrading from up to 20Mb broadband to up to 50Mb broadband" so I assumed that meant upgrading from VIP20 to VIP50 would incur this charge but other people have said they aren't having to pay the extra charge. I didn't ask when I ordered the TIVO and wasn't told about the charge either so not sure if thats the case or not.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

Hi folks

Been having a read through these forums for a while {trying to keep up to date about Tivo}

While in this thread i had noticed that i seemed to be on a pretty crappy deal, there are people on here that seem to be getting a lot more than me for a lot less, my last three bills are £129, £129, £130 and i only have one v+HD box?

Decided tonight to give virgin a ring to queery why i am paying so much? always thought i was on vip50, turns out i'm not on vip50 you have to be offered it.

They explained to me that i can be put on the vip50 and it will only cost me £105 {saving me £25 a month} to which i told them that i am not very happy having been paying £25 a month extra for {what i believed} a vip50 package that i was never on.

When i asked them if they were going to sort this out, he said he would do it straight away but it would mean that i would have to take out a NEW 12 month contract {my tv contract is up in just over 2 months} i told them that there was no way that i was going to enter into a new contract knowing that i had been overpaying for the last nine months, to which he replied there was nothing he could then do.

Have had a look on sky, and for what i am paying, i could keep my broadband with virgin, take all of sky's tv, have 2 extra boxes and still pay less.

Going to sleep on it tonight, give virgin a ring again in the morning to ask them to put me on the vip50 {without a new contract} otherwise just drop everything from virgin down to a basic price for the next 2 months.

Not a happy bunny

There is no way to avoid being put on a new 12 month contract when going onto VIP 50

But at the same time, why should i have to take out a new contract to get my price DOWN to what i should have been paying for the last nine months?

It's your responsibility to check what package you are on. If you ordered VIP 50 and weren't put on it, then it would have been obvious from the start as the price would have been higher in the contract you were sent than it is advertised at

VIP 50 is at least 12 months for everyone (18 months for new customers because of the six month deal on at the moment). There is no way around this

So it's your decision now. Go on VIP 50 or don't

Just talked to a very helpful lady in CS re bill
I'm currently on VIP50 plus an additional V+ box
My Current charge is £ 110.55 plus £ 2.05 caller display
She confirmed that from nest Wednesday (TIVO DAY)
My bill will reduce to £ 105.60
Sounds good to me
:)

So 3 boxes or just two v+ boxes

I was told 107.55 for VIP50 with three boxes two V+ and a Tivo

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

Bit of a dumb question, but what exactly is included in the VIP package, and what should the normal prices be.

I'm currently on VIP20 (afaik) and from my last bill have:
Line Rental
Talk International
Talk Mobile
Talk Unlimited
Caller Display
TV XL
1 Addtional V Box
V HD Box
V+ HD Box
Broadband XL(20)
Movies 4, Movies 5, Sports 1, Sports 2.

Which was costing me £94.45. I know caller display is not part of the VIP package. The extra box bit is a bit confusing, but think it works out at the right price (I have 2 boxes toatal, a V+ and a V HD).

I've just opted to upgrade to VIP50 with TiVo, and will keep my V+ and lose the V HD. For this I was originally quoted £100.55 and then the lady said it would be £105.60 with my caller display. From the TiVo mail yesterday, I get the impression that I could have just upgraded to TiVo (on VIP20) for £3/month, or go to VIP50 with TiVo for £100.55 a month (and would then have to add the extra £2.05 for caller display). I was also quoted £149.95 and £30 activation fees for TiVo and 50 meg BB.

The first quote you got for VIP 50 was correct, as are the activation fees

I must be crazy.

At the moment I've got XL TV L BB and M phone but have just upgraded to VIP50 and a Tivo box.

Just a small increase in my monthly fee!!!

Price is £105 for six months and then £111.

Er, VIP 50 with TiVo is £100.55 unless you got extra STBs?
