Well after 1 year+ of living in absolute utter walls-closing-in-on-me-24-hours-a-day-please-let-me-kill-myself HELL......... with not one, but TWO sets of noisy chavvy muppet neighbours who act like the Clampetts... I am MOVING!!!!! :cleader::cleader:

:D :D :D

In other happy news, my gorgeous clever babba can now pull herself up to standing and is on the brink of walking :Yikes:

(That's a moan really, but i should act proud, right?)

Nice one how soon is the move then and I hope they get a neighbour 10 times worse than themselves.:)

Wow walking so soon., she will be into everything.;)

Well I've survived a month on minimum wage and spending 7.5 out of 8.5 hours on my feet every day.

I also sent out over £20,000 worth of post , some months they've hit £60,000 every month.

I also was given a conractor pass, which means I don't have to go to security every week to revalidate my pass.

Best of all the minimum wage is going up to £5.91ph

Got my iPhone back from being repaired. Well actually I got a brand new one seeing mine was deader than dead. Still it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be.

An expensive lesson that waterproof cases and phone insurance might be a good idea. That and nokias phones software really is gash these days. :)

Yeah it was the first time I've ever been in one.
It was quite calm and only the landing had a few bumps before we came to a stop.
I was flying from Rutland Water. It's really nice. I saw parts of Stamford, Belvoir Castle in the distance, you can see a long way.
I was meant to be doing it about 10 months ago but each time it was cancelled because of the weather. It was a present I got ages ago.

Its so peaceful up there and you get such amazing views.
Here are a few pics:

Those pictures look so good. I would love to try it but my feet and my head prefer to be on the ground. I get dizzy going up one wrung of a ladder never mind going up on a balloon :D

As with all forms of flight, taking off is optional, landing is mandatory.

I was lucky enough to go up in one about 10 years ago. I remember it clearly now and I'll never forget it.

What took me by surprise was how calm it was, nothing like how I imagined it would have been. And the other was how close it felt to having the top of my head burnt off. I'll wear a hat next if I do get another chance. Great photos though.

What started as a moan has turned into a happy thought.

I took the day off work yesterday to install a dishwasher and build a new bed for my daughter. Both were arriving from Argos between 8.30 and 10.30am.

Argos phoned at 9.30 to say they now couldn't deliver until Saturday afternoon because of transport "issues". Not being a happy bunny I cancelled the whole order.

I managed to get a slightly better dishwasher for the same price and it should be delivered next Wednesday. My 9 year old still wanted the same bed though so went back onto just order that and it's now HALF PRICE....:D WHOOP WHOOP :cleader::cleader:

Dont give up hope. I know It's very frustrating waiting to hear if you got the job or not but they probably had lots of applications to get through and put applications to one side that they didn't think would suit the job and the ones that they would narrow down to being suitable for the job and then from that pile they have to pick from that who is the best suited.

So keep positive as you have done what you need to do and now It's just a wait and see for you and fingers crossed you are the lucky one that gets the job.

Enjoy your weekend and have fun and try and put it out of your mind until Monday. Best of luck ;)

A guy at work was telling about what happened to a friend of his.

A woman had booked a long weekend at Celtic Manor during the Ryder Cup (she had booked it ages ago and didn't know the RC was there.)

A week before they where due to go, they had a call offering them £5,000 for the room, he said no, a second call they were offered £10,000 again he said no, both times his wife had said it was for them as a special holiday.

They accepted the third offer £75,000. Apparently it was made by Beckham management company.

Make sure you have lots of Indian food over there - except they call it 'food' there... :)

Don't drink the water, and take it easy with the men.

The water's fine (as long as it's from a bottled source), and I don't understand what you mean about the men - I don't have any direct reporting staff over here.

If you are skint and sad it is a bad thing, but if you are skint but happy it is definately a good thing.
Enjoy your new car!

I do feel a bit guilty for contributing to global warming but will stop short of buying a Toyota Prius... and you don't get enough time on Boris's blue bikes to get back this far up North unfortunately....

sorry am wandering OT here.

Happy thought: off to see Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman (uncle rick) at Lpool Philharmonic next week, really looking forward to it.

Some Toyotas (little 'un reliably informs me... shame he was banned from driving his for a while) are pretty good.

And sometimes you just have to have fun.
Get moss on your roof, recycle, collect rainwater, breathe near plants, grow your own, fit a wind turbine, wash fabrics on a 30C cycle and dry it in the wind, get low energy light bulbs, understand the difference between 'standby and off'.

Go for it.
