Mission deli wraps filled with Brunswick ham, mature cheddar cheese with spring onion, Italian baby leaf salad, tomatoes and hommous. Light but filling and reasonably healthy :)

It's not even 11am and I've already eaten 4 cubes of cadburys fruit and nut, 4 cubes of cadburys turkish delight, a mint mini roll, and some home made fudge.... on top of 2 toast with marmite!

Well l cannot believe you have eat that all so far as l had two cream crackers to have with my medication this morning but a sweet and sour chicken does await me this coming lunchtime followed by Rum and Raisen ice cream for sweet.:)

Today it's roast Lamb with steamed and roast potatoes, roast parsnips, cauliflower and leeks all served with my traditional gravy, carving in about 2 mins after I've finished my glass of glass of Croft Original, oh nearly forgot accompanied by a 2004 Rioja and rhubarb crumble & custard for dessert!

Great plan joglynne, next Sunday dinner is roast pork belly. I make a marinade using lemon and lime juice, a splash of red wine vinegar and olive oil. Cook for 3 hours at 140c covered with foil and the last 30 minutes at full whack to get the crackling perfect. I can smell it now :)

That sound great jem. We did ours to-day with loads of sea salt and sage rubbed in to the scored skin. 30 mins at 240c and 2 hours at 160c and the ribs I trimmed off the belly pork nestled underneath. I will baste those in honey and soy then flash grill them tomorrow night to have as a starter with our leftovers pork and stir fry fried rice. :)

Shared a bacon baguette with my wife. For my half I put Jerk sauce on the bread then cheese. Popped in microwave to melt cheese. Cooked bacon (dry cured smoked) and put with some tomatoes into bread. Push down to further melt cheese.

Soon going to cook a chicken curry. Marinate chicken in tandori masala, yoghurt and lemon juice. Then I'll think of a nice mix to cook it all in.

Liver and bacon with shallot gravy, new potatoes, sugar snap peas and teeny tiny corn cobs drenched in garlic butter. I know, could prove fatal eventually but we deserve a blow out every now and then. Going to enjoy every morsel :D

We're having chicken on Saturday nash. Daughter is coming down from London for the weekend and I have to cook her favourite meal, again. Bone in, skin on chicken breasts from the farm shop. A couple or three quartered red onions, olive oil, a sprinkle of Aromat and Schwartz black and red pepper. Roast for 30 - 40minutes @ 200c (fan 180c). 10 minutes before the end add a handful of cherry tomatoes. Leave to rest for 10 minutes covered with foil whilst you make the couscous up. Chicken or vegetable stock cube dissolved in 300 ml of boiling water for 300g of couscous. Cover with cling film and leave for 5 or 6 minutes. Fluff up with a fork. Easiest dinner I've ever cooked and really good :D. Forgot to mention that a squeeze of lemon juice works will on the chicken as you plate up.

Have a go at this Caff, never fails :D

If you want further recipes then send me a PM nash. denphone has my ultra secret cheat for lasagne. There are times when I just can't be bothered to cook from scratch and so I cheat. Nobody has complained thus far. Try the chicken and couscous, it really is a winner :D

I don't really go in for cooking with a lot of extra's added. I never buy Red Peppers. I don't have a clue what Aromat is & I don't like pepper. I guess I might miss out on these things that I should use. I just enjoy plain cooking. I miss out on a lot of things as I never try anything new, incase I don't like it. Thanks

And I am just letting it thicken up overnight before adding additional stock/sauce (hoisin-rosemary-vegatable I will think about it).

A bit of thick coarse cut bread and cabernet sauvignon to clear any stickiness
