Bizarrely they took key chains and car keys but not the cars. Didn't take much from the house itself either, just small pickings (and my Kindle :( )

Gutted for you, that'd be why you are interested in cctv, personally I'd go for a good monitored alarm if it were me. Bit concerning about the keys to.

Lack of joined up care in one of our local hospitals.....

I was admitted late last Friday night, and one of the outcomes was that I was fitted with a catheter and bag (joy...).

When I was discharged on Sunday, they told me an appointment would be made for approx. 10 days after the catheter was fitted, to remove it and scan the area to check if everything was OK. As the appointment was going to come through the post, I left it until Thursday to check up - I found out that no communication had happened between the Surgical Assessment Ward and Urology, but they promised they would contact them and arrange an appointment. I rang up today to follow up on this, and found out nothing had been done, and no appointments could be made because no one was available to do so in the Urology Ward (I even badgered the direct number out of them, which was not too easy).

Now I am being told that an appointment can't be made until Monday (which was when I should have been seen), and it will probably be in two weeks from Monday.

Joy....

Good luck with it

Nash the new email system looks like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60tXSS5I76c I personally preferred the older version but I suppose time will tell, maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it.

@ Nash No I have a Chromebook, also I use windows 8. I have just checked it's the same layout on mobile phone & chromebook and it is.

I would not where to start as to how to download windows 10, I leave all that stuff to my eldest son LOL as I'm warned not to download stuff myself on his orders

Really do not like the new VM email system atm but I'm sure I will get used to it.

I use an email client (Thunderbird) so VM's changes don't really affect me in terms of how the mail looks though I will need to wrangle the webmail into submission to get the SPAM filters properly set as they are changed to the defaults after VM take over the service. I prefer the white list / black list criteria rather than the strange lableing system :erm:

Considering I was given the option of staying in hospital for three days on the 25th June and having the catheter removed and the tests on the Tuesday in the hospital, or be being discharged and having the procedure/tests 10 days later, I tried to do the right thing, and gave up my bed.

I have now found out that my paperwork was lost between departments, and the referral went through today, and I can't be seen until the 19th August because the nurse who manages the clinic is on holiday until then.....

So, instead of 10 days, it will be 24 - to say I am not happy is probably an understatement...

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Hugh. :tu:

I think I am approximately 12-15 miles away from you Nash. I reckon it will be in your postcode area soon, believe me you are not missing much in the new set up.

Just as well Natalie was on the ball today at the hospital - despite me telling them they still tried to give me stuff I'm allergic to!

Some people in hospitals are thick dilli. Luckily, as you say, someone managed to catch it before a disaster happened.

My moan is small, but it is Jobcentre day. Last time, they managed to botch my signing up so I had to call 4 times on payment day to chase up why the money wasn't in. Normally wouldn't bother me but I had DD's coming out on Thursday.

My older sister, ex-banker, knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.:(

I'm so upset someone has scratched my stainless steel hob, I think one of my sons has tried to clean it by using a scourer :( and now my new hob is all scratched so gutted. I have asked the two boys if they done it and they both said no. So I guess it was the invisible man/woman once again. I've decided that I can either cry about it or have a glass of wine as I can't be bothered crying, I guess I will just have to go with the wine option.

Later yesterday l had to see my GP and the crux of it is after the tests at hospital l had a while back my heart function has declined thus they have increased my heart failure medication and hopefully this will stop it falling any further.

I do hope the heart meds kick in and keep you upbeat.
