lawe, my original install was two and half weeks after applying - I rang up, and asked for a change of date, which they did (next Thursday, making it just under two weeks).

Three weeks sounds about right, but it wouldn't hurt to ring up to see if you can have it brought forward - if they can't, you are no worse off than you are now....

I can only hope that if this is an error, it sticks! ;)

Dean

Maybe it's a special offer for people who actually are called Dean ;)

Try it at 720p. I find this significantly better than the interlaced signal, and there is no HD material on VM better than 720p anyway.

All cable HD is broadcast at 1080i.

Hello all - (long time lurker de-lurking! :) )

I've had my Tivo for a couple of weeks now and compared to theV+, its a great box (IMHO of course, as I never used reminders and rarely copied stuff to DVD, so the lack of those featured don't bother me).

I can confirm though that the reverse EPG works fine here - I just did the 'Monroe test' and it went straight to the correct programme. I do remember it didn't work at first though, so its quite possible its not a real problem, and the EPG data takes a while to cross-reference with the VoD data. I have noticed that the default behaviour if it can't cross-reference the data is to dump you in the main VoD menu (you can check this after a week as the VoD data goes off the system, but the main EPG data stays and can still be scrolled through as far as installation date).

I've tried out the online recording facility and it seems to work (although the guide data on the website doesn't seem to be the same as on the Tivo, so ao couple of times I've ended up with the wrong thing as it recorded the requested timeslot, rather than the specified programme, but thats just a data quality thing rather than a bug).

I thought on the Tivo mini guide it showed the channel logo, has this been removed or does my Tivo just not want to show them
