sweet deal. do they have to come over and install it like with the 50mbit? or do they just send it so you can DIY?

i remember one of my older laptops couldent download @ full 20mbits on wifi and had to be connected to the ethernet i hope the 30/50 does not have the same problem, do you guys get full 30 using wifi on a laptop?

Re: [Update] ALL 20>30Mb upgrade discussion

I get 31Mb/s wired, between 25-27Mb/s wireless - but remember, it depends on the wireless receiver on your laptop as well.

They sent an engineer with mine.. they check the power levels etc.

I'm on the 30mb and my laptop wireless is a G, so apparently I won't get above 20mb.

I think it depends.

I got my SH through the post, and fitted it myself, and get above 25Mb/s on a G card and dongle - YMMV.

It's a Wireless N card so you should get 30Mbit ok, and 50Mbit (depending on your house)

you know techs can check power levels remotely?

the tech that came here a week or so ago, got a device out and checked it on that and told me he can do it that way remotely.

Just out of interest, here's my speedtest result on 30mb... was sat next to Hub:

Also, my files are only downloading at 260kbs?!?!

I used to download at over 1mb a second on my 10mb connection!
