Australia push their overall lead past 250.

They might as well come home now as at least that will save us from a 5-0 humiliation.:(:td:

Australia beat England to regain urn in Perth.

Australia have the Ashes for the first time in seven years after sealing a deserved 150-run win in Perth to take an impregnable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
Fully deserved as we can have no excuses at all as we have been a shambles from start to finish.

Wonder how long before we have people calling for Cook to be replaced as captain. Might as well let him continue as we have nobody good enough to replace him.

Re: Cricket

Wish we could have Michael Vaughan back as captain. The best one England have ever had imo. Shame that the captain has to be a player, Vaughan would be a perfect replacement as a non playing captain.

Re: Cricket

Mike Brearley was a superb captain too despite his poor batting averages.

Re: Cricket

I've only been following cricket since the days of Nasser Hussain as captain to be fair. So anyone pre Hussain would be totally unheard of to me, with the exception of Gooch onwards.

Well l have to say l am quite surprised that he has decided to retire so soon as l personally thought he had a few years in him yet.

England in trouble despite Pietersen defiance.

Well not much has changed apart from Pietersen showing that there is a bit of steel to go with his big ego.
