So proud of my sister. I got her a job interview with my company last week, she had her first job on Tuesday. We get a target given to us, in that we have to count a certain amount of units per hour (UPH) and her target Tuesday and Thursday was 800. She hit 850 on Tuesday, and then last night smashed it again by doing 1,229, and as a result was given a spirit award for results today. Of course, in work she won't get special treatment from me. However, I did tell her congratulations for getting it.

My happy thought is my youngest son sits his last prelim exam today, this exam was scheduled for last Friday but due to the weather conditions it was cancelled and rescheduled for today.

It was such a shame last Friday as we were actually sitting in the car waiting for it to defrost when I received the text message from the school saying that the school was closing at 1pm and all exams will be rescheduled, lets just say my son was not too pleased at all.

Going over to Brighton with a buddy this evening for an "old boy" reunion. We have these two or three times a year for people who used to be at a company I worked for (and still do some contract stuff for) plus a couple of people who still work there. Arranged before Chistmas to give everybody a chance at keeping their diary's clear.

A good eveing out with plenty of beer down in the Lanes district in some traditional old pubs starting in The Bath Arms. :)

We're going over a little earlier to get a meal and a pint deal at Wetherspoons. (The Bright Helm in West street) Fish and chips tonight.

My sister is trying to organise a family reunion in April. Mainly me, my two sisters and two cousins. My uncle Robert (Yes, indeed, Bob IS my uncle LOL) in East Anglia has poor eyesight and rarely travels so is unlikely to be able to make it.

That's the extent of the family in the UK. The rest of our relatives are in Australia.

Hoping to try and make it a regular event. :)

Good luck for yours. Had the garage do a main (2yr) service as well. Thew up an issue with one of the rear brakes that had also damaged the drum so we needed to fit a complete set of new drums and shoes etc.

Still that, the service, MOT and VAT came to just shy of £500 so not too bad. :)

Pleased to put the business with a local family run firm.

That is lovely den I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your time with your sister.

I'm hoping for a good result when I go the hospital on Monday hopefully all going well my consultant can shed some light on what is happening, since the scope has been put on hold atm, hubby will be coming in with me as I tend to either zone out or totally forget what was said in the room. The good news is my blood test was good as I'm no longer lacking in folic acid and my crp level was down so the meds seem to be doing the trick :)

On Wednesday I got 3 tickets to see Kylie in the o2 in September thanks to o2 priority.

But I'm annoyed I couldn't even get decent tickets despite getting access to buy tickts 2 minutes after they were available to buy.

So I'm sitting on the shelf at the top.

I'm going with my sister, and Nieces, girlfriend's mum, who is a Kylie fan and will be flying form Glasgow just for this show, oh yeah and perhaps see her daughter will have moved to my town to start her job.

Congratulations to you both weenie. Being with the family you love is better than any thing in this world. I shall raise a glass, unfortunately it will have to be milk, to join in your Celebrations. xx

Having a nice night with hubby, our two boys and our lovely future daughter in law.

I'm so grateful that they all understand I just can't go out atm but what me and hubby plan to do is once I'm feeling better is going away for a couple of days later on in the year.

Congrats, hope your night went well

Thanks guys :)

My baby is really no longer a baby :( and he has now got his National Insurance Number.

Time really does fly by my youngest got his national insurance number in the post today, as they no longer do the plastic card anymore, I have ordered him a plastic card from here https://www.actionretail.co.uk/produ...-hard-plastic/

That is brilliant news in more ways than one as this proves your brother is working for company and has a boss who is understanding :)

These views make a huge difference for all concerned.

My eldest son's dissertation is now totally completed ready to be handed in to the Uni on Monday :) maybe now I will see him as I have missed him tbh. I did not realise just how much time we all spent together.

I know that me and his fiancée have missed him but we also understood he needed time to put this together.

My Nieces girlfriend has left her hometown of Glasgow, and moved to Essex, to start a career as cabin crew.

She's staying at my sisters while she is undergoing the 5 week training and until she has enough cash behind her to rent a place/room.

My sister doesn't what them to live together long term at this stage in there relastionship as they've only known each other 2 years, and if things go south it could be awkward.

Her mother was a bit tearful to see her baby go.

But my sister and myself have told her mother that we will encsure she is 100% safe and make sure where she is going to live is suitable for her, even do this should they break up.

She is a nice young lady, who get on with my nephew.

Just put a small beef joint (750g) on to pot roast on the hob for the next few hours. It'll be super tender by the time I want to serve it.

Driving my nieces girlfriend to her training which is around the corner from where I work.

So we are talking in the car and find out she like as Red Dwarf.

On top of that I found out earlier that she is a Queen fan and that her dad's friend is in a Queen tribute act, and when he next comes down here I'll get free VIP tickets.

I feel a very beautiful friendship developing.
