There are always going to be bugs, heck the V+ still has some very glaring ones, I put mine through an intense workout yesterday I was up till 02:00 doing wish list searches and the box just worked like a dream.

if you want to be first you have to put up with a few niggles but on here whole there is nothing deal breaking at the moment. In fact I am in awe that a consumer product is this slick looking.

To be fair to sidneysides there does seem a lot of issues for a box that's ready to be released , sure you expect niggles however looking on various forums these seem to widespread.

Like I said it's just a jiggle to me, If I thought it wouldn't get fixed then it's a different matter.

Also my box hasn't got "a lot of issues" it just has the one.;)

Good point, my V+ had (I got it replaced for a Samsung box) lots of problems but my TiVo is an absolute dream.

Agree its not a lot of issues,i have had my box over 4 weeks now and to me it just seems to be getting better and better.Really cant understand the moaning its a new product if they didnt want one with issues then they should have waited. The only thing us vm owners have got to moan about/be disappointed with is the lack of new channels to back it
It seems to me that a lot of problems are down to unexperienced installers rather than the boxes,If you read few comments peeps who got installers who have already installed many are fine.

That's not the sort of response I have come to expect from you Hugh!

I notice you failed to address the guide replay issue which is causing a lot concern. Could we have some advice please and less of the sarcasm?

Yes you are correct the V+ still has numerous bugs to date.

Not sarcasm - statement of fact (sorry that you took it that way).

btw, why should I "address the guide replay issue" - you appear to have me confused with someone who works for VM*

(*that's sarcasm.....;))

Not really as he is being fairly accurate and not being sarcastic in the least, plus he has booked his own install as well.

With over 18000 posts on this cable forum I foolishly thought you might have been in a position to offer some advice to us relatively inexperienced folk. It seems I was mistaken. Well, we live and learn.

On SD when I saw a face close up the detail was almost HD like, but not the case with Tivo

Try it at 720p. I find this significantly better than the interlaced signal, and there is no HD material on VM better than 720p anyway.

Wash your mouth out with soap and water.....:D

What a foul calumny (to someone who lives in Leeds ;)).

I got my updated contract through in the post yesterday (with the date of the new contract confirming my 20th April TiVo install, which is nice).. have to say I was somewhat surprised when it says my monthly service charge is £56.55 for VIP20+Sky Premium HD+TiVo.

I can only hope that if this is an error, it sticks! ;)

Well after waiting for an email that never came, I Just rang about Tivo and told that install would be in 3 weeks time. Can it be this far ahead when others here are getting dates within days of ordering?
I know it may seem sour grapes on my part but I have played by the rules, checked my spam box incase the email went there and not tried to fob my way into getting one early.
